We had a pupusa craving and this place hit the spot. The pupusas are made to order. The curtido(cabbage salad topping) was really good as was the red sauce. The area is well kept and clean. Don’t be discouraged that it’s in an auto parts parking lot. I would recommend this place if you want good pupusas. The owners are really friendly.

Location: In the parking lot of the convenience store on the north side of Glisan and the west side of 181st Ave, at the intersection of those two roads. Structure: It is a food truck with a permanent attached and covered patio. No street signs so you’ll need to look for the signs on the truck itself. Food: This place is amazing. Good Mexican food is hard to come buy in PDX and good central american cuisine can be even harder. Look no further. Not only are the people who own/operate this cart the nicest freaking people on the planet but their food is downright terrific and affordable. «Authentic» doesn’t even begin to cover it. The vinegar slaw which accompanies the papusas is quite possibly the best I’ve ever had in my life. Also, better al pastor and pollo tacos here than at most taquerias in the city. I wish it was closer. But then it would be overrun with annoying people. But they they’d make more money. But then it wouldn’t be the same. Life is full of paradoxes.

Eat Here. Seriously. This place isn’t a Mexican food place, they focus more on Central American cuisine, which is stupid delicious. I absolutely recommend everything on the menu. I’ve been trying to find a place with good Hispanic style food for a long time and I finally found it. The owners are really nice and friendly. They’re always willing to explain the different types of dishes. This is one of the best places to eat in the metro area. It is well worth the drive from anywhere.
