Whether you are a total beginner and want to learn the basics, or you have been playing for a while and would like to take your playing up a notch, I can help you achieve your goals. I cater my lessons to whatever my students interests are, yet I also have a curriculum that I use if you aren’t looking for anything specific. History
Established in 1997.
Lance has played in groups ranging from rock bands to musical theater pit orchestras, from blues jams to the show band on board a Carnival Cruise Lines ship. His musical heroes include Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Beatles, Phish and The Meters. Originally from Long Island, New York, Lance first began learning guitar at age 15. He moved from New York to Massachusetts in 1995 to attend Berklee College of Music.
He has taught at several studios and schools in the Greater Boston area, including Boston College High School in Dorchester, Robinson Music in Westborough and The Music Emporium in Lexington. He has taught students ranging in age from seven years to adult. Lance moved to Portland in March 2011, and has taken his guitar teaching business with him here as he breaks into the local music scene.
