I’ve been a regular patient of Dr. Weksler for several years now. I have also seen other doctors at this clinic when she was unavailable, or away. Dr. Weksler and everyone here seems genuinely interested in your overall health and well being. All the practitioners I’ve seen has taken ample time to hear my concerns and given me exemplary treatment.
I give this clinic my highest recommendation.

Dr. Brown and Dr. Ware are both rock stars! I’ve been around a for several decades now and I have seen my share of primary care docs in Portland, Seattle, cities with major medical universities and the nation’s top health teams. I would go to Dr. Brown and Dr. Ware over all others. (I haven’t seen anyone else in this clinic, so I can only comment on my experiences with these two physicians.)
Here are the qualities I look for in a doctor: knowledgeable, smart (in applying that knowledge!), courteous, creative, proactive, resourceful, accessible, thorough, patient, clear, supportive. I could go on. These two exemplify them all.
I’m usually a tough critic — I can always find ways to improve upon something. But in my years as a patient of Dr. Brown (and recent having seen Dr. Ware when Dr. Brown was out of the office), I’m dreadfully short on criticism. I am grateful to them for helping me manage a variety of medical challenges and for giving me the tools and support to improve my health and live my life to the fullest.
I see from the other reviews here that most folks agree. But not everyone does. Diversity of opinion is great! I’m not surprised to see a few dissenting opinions.
Seems to me that primary care docs have a tough gig — listening to the woes of a lot of unhappy people, sometimes reporting bad news to them, suggesting that they change their current habits to make healthier choices, sorting through all the inconclusive studies and new research that often promises more than it ultimately delivers.
And imagine doing this work in an era in which people can Google-​search their way into self-​proclaimed expertise in any field. When patients are inundated by images of peppy, muscled, flawless looking actors selling drugs, dental floss, and «healthy» foods like vitamin-​coated cocoa puffs. How can docs deliver on these expectations?
Drs. Brown and Ware are both bonafide experts and top-​notch human beings in my book. Your mileage may indeed vary.

It’s nice to have reviews by other doctors to bring your bad service and ratings up.
Patients are not as ignorant as you think! When a «Doctor» recomends drinking scotch, to someone who has liver disease, over taking medication that leaves the body through the kidneys, one has to ponder seriously taking such advice!

I have been a patient of Dr Jay Brown for over 10 Years. He was my doctor at Providence and I followed him to Legacy when he moved offices. I have been through a number of health conditions over the years and no matter the issue, Dr Brown is there to treat me with kindness and compassion. I 100% trust in his care and am thankful to have found him after going to several doctors who could not give me the help that I needed. Nothing is too small of an issue and he will work tirelessly to make sure that I am well taken care of and all questions are answered. He always makes himself readily available and gets back to me with anything needed-​questions/​prescriptions etc. I don’t have enough words to express all the good that he has done for me. Since moving back to Oregon I’ve found it hard-​pressed to find a medical professional who cares, like, really cares about me. I’m a 29-​year-​old female, one who got caught in the «pre-​existing condition» insurance battle for years (for having PMS). Once I finally gained medical insurance a year back, I found Dr. Brown at Legacy Medical. Dr. Jay Brown was a referral from my best friend who had seen him and felt comfortable and heard. I’m someone who has suffered from extreme anxiety throughout life and a few other ailments, so I was weary of seeing another GP who I felt like they pretended to care. Since seeing Dr. Brown and the staff at Legacy Medical, they’ve continued to listen to me as a patient. Having a severe anxiety condition, Dr. Brown not only understands the prescription side of it all, he is encouraging and promotes the most feasible long-​term solutions to aid in creating a better «me.» I would highly Legacy Medical Group for its great location, amazing staff and wonderful doctors!

As a patient of Dr. Jay brown, I can’t say enough about his integrity and professional insight and wisdom. I’ve had many occasions to see him over the past ten years and he has been consistently professional each time. On every visit he gives me his undivided attention, he’s thoughtful in his approach and considerate of all factors involved in treatment. Not only is he attentive in the office, his follow up and time in getting back to me has always been exemplary. The way Dr. Brown practices medicine is almost impossible to come by these days. He’s very knowledgable and his approach is extremely thorough, weighing all options. Dr. Brown is an excellent physician, he genuinely cares about his patients and their well being.

Dr. Jay Brown at Legacy Broadway has been treating me for 13 years now starting at Providence. I credit him with extending my life. I have a treatable but very life threatening disease and Dr. Brown has been the major influence in keeping my medication therapy optimal while keeping side effects minimal. Not an easy task. Changing meds based on routine exams and analysis has really done the trick for me. I see him fairly often and always leave feeling very cared for. I’ve felt ignored in the past by docs in larger settings and done poorly under those conditions. I followed him from Providence to Legacy and will follow him again if need be. I thank Dr. Brown for excelling at what he does and for taking such good care of me.

I truly believe that a good doctor is rare. While there are many competent doctors, there aren’t too many that listen to their patients and strive to treat them in the most humane way. I have had health concerns for the last 5 years and have never come across such a wonderful doctor until now. Dr. Jay Brown is kind, smart, and thorough. You can tell that he cares. He listens to your concerns and takes all of them very seriously. I was assigned to him through my insurance company and feel very lucky about this. His staff are also amazing. They are kind and careful. I always leave this clinic feeling hopeful that I will get better.

The physicians at this clinic are fantastic. They take the time to listen to their patients and understand their concerns. All of the doctors are confident with utilizing diet and lifestyle changes to address health issues. If you want smart, thoughtful and effective doctors, this is the place for you!
