Compared to other shops around town, I say that lents autobody is a top notch repair shop that cares about its customers, and its quality of workmanship. I would have my car fixed there anytime

The folks who work at Lents is definitely good people. They are professional, experts at what they do, and do it with pride.
My vehicle: 2005 Subaru Legacy GT Turbo Limited — Atlantic Blue. Basically an adult WRX STi. A difficult color to match and blend due to the metallic flop in the paint — IE, when you look at it from different angles, the color will shift because of the metallic reflection. These guys nailed it.
Vehicle was damaged by the transportation company from Denver to Portland — Front and Rear Bumper, left quarter panel, and scratches.
They dealt with the transportation company (who after months of phone calls and emails to their vice president), agreed to pay for the damages — we finally brought the car in.
I worked with Corey (estimator) and Sherman (technician). I can’t stress the enough, but both of those guys really take pride in their work.
There was some other damage to the vehicle — parking lot dings, and oxidized paint on the roof from moss — things I obviously did not claim. They worked with me to repair the other damaged areas — which was extremely reasonable in terms of cost. There were certain body panels that I wanted to save for later due to the high costs, which Corey said we can address at a later date. However, Sherman saw that we couldn’t leave those panels as-​is, and would not blend with will all the excellent work he had done on the rest of the vehicle, and took it upon himself to finish that panel as well.
Now, the entire vehicle looks brand new — awesome for a 10 year old car. We are excited to have it back.
My father had a repair and body shop in Los Angeles (he has retired over 10 years ago), and me being a car guy (the Subaru is obviously not stock), I can appreciate the detail they put into the repair.

November 2015 my car had some minor damage done to it and I got over 3 estimates. I chose Lents Body Shop to do the work. I was paying cash but eventually had insurance reimburse me by the at fault driver.
The front bumper cover was replaced with an aftermarket CAPA certified bumper cover instead of my old bumper cover being repaired.
Side note for clarification:
(The CAPA Seal is proof a replacement part is CAPA Certified to fit, perform and last like the original. No test fitting required.)
I was assured by the estimator (Corey) that it would fit fine with no issues. The estimate for labor was just under 8 hours for the total repair to be completed. I took my car in at 745 am and the next day, just after lunch, I was called and told the car was done. I picked up the car after work and it looked nice. I noticed a week or so later that the seams on both sides didn’t look right were the bumper meets the fender. The drivers side seam was not flush/​smooth at the joint and the passenger side had an uneven gap and you could see the alignment pins.
I took the car in under the limited warranty policy they have. The estimator (Corey) said that aftermarket parts don’t always fit right and that’s how it goes sometimes. I said the main reason I chose Lents was because you assured me that the aftermarket bumper cover would work just fine. The estimator looked at the issue I had and got one of the body shop techs and told him to fix the drivers side but the passenger side is ok and not to do anything with it. The body tech had the car in the shop about 20 minutes. I went outside to get my car when I saw the body tech bring it out to the parking lot.
I was still not satisfied with the warranty work. I figured no sense going back since the warranty is limited to what they want to repair.
On the weekend I jacked up the front of the car to see what was going on. I discovered that 2 of the 3 bolts on the passenger side seam were missing and on the drivers side 1 of the 3 bolts was missing and of the 2 bolts that were there only one was original (black) and a gold colored bolt was in the other hole.
I didn’t want to drive my car any longer than I had to with missing bolts so I went to napa auto parts that day. I brought one of the original bolts with me and bought new bolts that matched the original. I had to buy a 15 piece bag for $ 4.95 with my military discount. I put the dollars worth of (3) bolts into the holes that needed them and tightened them. The passenger side seam fit perfect and the drivers side is tight. There was some flash that wasn’t sanded off before the paint work was done so the seam cannot be tightened as much as it should be.
I also noticed one of the black plastic screw inserts by the grill/​radiator was replaced. It was not faded like the others. I looked around under the hood and found it by the drivers windshield wiper area in the cowling. I took the new one out and put the original one back in. Now everything matches.
Hopefully this does not reflect there quality of workmanship as a whole. It took me about 10 minutes once I got the bolts to fix what I had wanted to be looked at and should have been fixed by the body shop. God only knows how many bolts are missing from other vehicles. The work on my car was under a thousand dollars. I’d hate to see what could be missing on a vehicle with extensive damages. I informed my insurance agent and the agent of the company that paid for my damages.

I stopped in for a professional opinion regarding repairs completed by a different body shop. Both the owner and another employee greeted me. I explained my situation, and right off the back they understood I was looking for an independent opinion, and not necessary an estimate for work (e.g. they probably wouldn’t make any money off me).
Without hesitation the two of them took the time to look at my vehicle, almost a half-hour’s time total. They never tried to sell me anything, and they were refreshingly candid: explaining nuances of automotive painting, pointing out concerns, and recommending I return to the original shop for corrective work (under that shop’s workmanship warranty).
I wish I had taken the time to get a bid from Lents originally. Thanks so much for your time.

I took my 2015 Ford F-​350 in for repair last month. They got it in their shop in a timely manner, the front desk staff that greeted me and took care of my paperwork was fabulous and the end result was amazing! This was my husbands new truck that I wrecked and I was worried he would always be able to see where it had been fixed because he’s very picky, but he can’t! It is as good as new! They did an excellent job and my husband was thrilled with the result as well. I would highly recommend Lents Body shop to all of my family and friends. Thank you Lents Body Shop!

It never feels good to have your car incur damage but going to Lents was the perfect salve for my car and my own needs. Imagine quality customer service and smiling faces all while the car is being fixed to perfection and the red tape with the insurance company has been taken care of by the staff at Lents.
The job was so efficient and timely that I decided to take all three of our cars in for a buff and detailed cleaning. IT WAS AMAZING! My cars look brand new and at such an affordable cost! Long live quality service and a big thanks to everyone at Lents!

Wow this place is super nice. Everyone there was very professional. Jim fixed up my bumper that was hanging on for dear life in about five minutes for no charge! They also gave me an estimate in case I ever wanted to actually get it fixed which was nice. I will definitely come back.

Took my brand new car with only 9000 miles because, of damage caused by another driving turning left and scraped the left back quarter panel down to the plastic.
They did the work, but there were issues with the repairs they did. They took it back in and completely did it to my liking and got a rental for me while it was being repaired.

We’ve used Lents Body Shop twice and can’t say enough about Randy and his friendly and knowledgable crew. They went over the top to make sure that we were satisfied with their work, in one instance even absorbing the cost of a repair that wasn’t covered by our insurance. They do great work and bend over backwards (not literally) to make sure their customers are happy. You can’t go wrong using them.

This is the body shop I took my car to first after my accident. They’re local and thought I’d give them a try. I ended up having to take my car to another body shop to have the damage repaired on my car that Lents body shop tried covering up with a piece of plastic paneling under my car. No good and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I had my vehicle brought in to have an estimate done for repairs. I was told this would be the shop to go to as the specialize in frame work. One look at my vehicle, they said they couldn’t do anything. Bill, the guy who looked at the car, didn’t look under the car at the frame, just looked over the car and said the frame could not be repaired. Last I looked, the frame was under the car. What a waste of time. A friend of the family called to speak to the manager to see what they could do for the frame, when asked for the manager, she was told «who’s calling?», when she told them her name, then the «office manager» said that it was him on the phone. Ok, what shop does that? Why would you not speak up when asked to be spoken to, unless you’ve made other customers pissed and are now having to hide from them? Pretty shady. I don’t recommend at all. Take it to Kadells, or Leifs. They’re more up front and honest.

I just want to say that the owner and employees here at Lents Body Shop were very wonderful. My car had been hit by another driver, insurance sent me to Lents Body Shop. I had previously reviewed the comments on Unilocal. For the negative reviewer GIVE IT A BREAK! I got great care from this company! I didn’t have a long wait. I was maybe there for 20 minutes! If you’re looking for a great place, this is it! They provide quality care as well as great Eco friendly prices!!! Thanks again Lents Body Shop!!!

They do great work in a very timely manner and don’t nickel and dime you or try to make more work than you can afford out of the job.

After an unfortunate run-​in with a snowdrift, our Subaru needed some attention. Came to Unilocal and compared the results with the State Farm DRP shop list. Lent’s is the real deal. As a former body shop estimator, I know what to look for. They are eco-​friendly. They use a waterborne paint system. The facility is updated and clean. The service team is friendly and knowledgeable. Speaking of which, Randy really went above and beyond. Good communication was key. He worked with us to improve an unaffected area of the car while it was in the shop for an affordable price. Enterprise is nearby which is convenient. Overall I am impressed. It almost made me miss estimating. ALMOST. Next will be my poor little Corolla, when I scrounge some funds.
The most important thing to keep in mind when looking for a body shop is to find the place where you feel comfortable. Check out Lent’s. You’ll feel at home.

Here’s the scoop, these guys are professional, fast, and very customer service oriented!
I’ve have had my beloved Chrysler 300 in the shop twice. First time they fixed a small self-​inflicted boo-​boo. It was perfectly done body work and immaculate paint.
Then just over the 4^th of July I left my 300 in for a rear bumper issue– NOT my fault! Not only did they do that work to perfect repair, but they repaired (at no cost to me) my front grill that needed to be straightened. This wasn’t a ten minute fix either! I was so surprised to see my front grill fixed and even more surprised to see that they didn’t charge me a dime.
Lents Body Shop is the only place I’ll let touch my baby. Randy offers a lifetime guarantee on workmanship (so I’m not sure what «Nancy’s» beef is with them.
Let Randy and the guys take care of your vehicle and they will return it clean and expertly repaired!

I have had two opportunities to have work done on my car by these folks and both times I have found them to be friendly and very professional from the front office staff to the individuals doing the work on the vehicle.
The work was done for the quoted price, on time and the results were top notch in terms of quality. I would highly recommend this shop.

I think this is one of the best body shops in Portland. My car was sideswiped while we were out of town. The insurance company of the person who had hit the car requested I take the car to Lents for the estimate. Ordinarily this is not a situation where I would totally trust the liable party’s insurance shop to do the work, but I was impressed with the detail of the estimator who picked up damage I had not seen and that had not been seen by two other shops, including Kuni Collision Center (recommended by Lexus). I decided to go ahead and have Lents do the work.
I could not be happier. Everyone I met there was so nice and friendly and truly made me feel they had my best interest at heart. The car was finished a full two days ahead of when they said it would be done and the work was perfect. It is the best paint match I have ever had… and I’ve had several other shops do work for me in the past on other cars. The car was totally cleaned throughout, and I even think they cleaned the inside windows. This is a great car and I really wanted this repair to be done in a first class manner. Lents did it.
On top of all this, the other party’s insurance company failed to send the check with the paperwork to me and the car was ready. Lents called them and secured permission for the check to be sent directly to them. I did not have to float the cost of the repair to get my car picked up. I would recommend them to anyone and if I ever need work done in the future I will take my car there.

I had the WORST service here. It’ makes my blood boil just thinking about it. I had taken my car here to get the driver side door repaired and repainted. They did a horrible job and and I asked them to re-​do it. They reluctantly did so but I was still not completely satisfied with their work.
A couple months later I noticed some strange white flecks all over the door and took it back. They claimed it was overspray from someone that was painting something in a nearby vicinity. Yet they couldn’t explain why these flecks were only on the door that they repaired and repainted. They refused to fix it and told me the only way they would even consider it is if I had it professionally detailed and the fleck didn’t come off. Well, I spent the $ 200 to get my car detailed and the flecks were still there so then they finally agreed to fix it.
So I had to pay $ 200 for the useless detailing to prove to them they were wrong and it took 3 tries to get my door fixed (which STILL was unsatisfactory) AND as an added bonus — while they had it the 3^rd time they marred my sideview mirror.
I would NEVER EVER bring any vehicles here and I certainly would not recommend this place to my friends.
