Liberty Graphic truly captures the Maine experience. A clothing store located in the center of Old Port, it offers a range of T-​shirts from local artists. The T-​shirts are not ordinary tourist-​esque Maine shirts; rather they are all environmentally themed! Very cute and unique designs you would not find elsewhere! The owner is friendly, passionate and knowledgeable. During checkout, she even gave me a short spiel and a leaflet on the artist who designed my newly purchased shirt. Most of the shirts are made of organic cotton and range between 20 – 30 dollars. A decent price considering the organic cotton and positive concept associated with the shirts. Lastly, they have shirts in men, women and youth sizes.
Shops like this are the reason why Portland remains to be charming!

Maine specialty graphic tee company, based in Liberty, Maine, now with its own storefront in Portland’s Old Port.
These shirts, many with an environmental theme, come in dozens of cool designs, many of them organic cotton and are created by Maine artists and artisans. The company was originally founded in the 1970s so it goes back a while.
The theme of environmental consciousness really comes across both in the shop and on the shirts themselves, but there’s something here for everyone, (though as a barrel-​chested guy, they could stand to have a few more XXL sizes.)
Prices are about what you’d pay for any specialty, highly designed t-​shirt, around $ 22-​$ 30 based on style and design. The woman running the store was friendly and helpful and smiling.
Maine based, Maine supported, environmentally conscious… This shop can’t be missed.
