We are a Trade Ally with Energy Trust of Oregon, and we are based in Portland.

History

Established in 2015.

LightSource Energy is led by a NABCEP certified professional PV installer, with experience in all varieties of solar. We started here in Portland and we believe in supporting the local economy.

I believe in solar energy. I have had successful careers in construction and banking, and nothing I have ever done before comes close to the satisfaction I feel, along with our customers, when we complete a solar project. Nobody I have ever met has regretted purchasing solar.

We recently hired Robert at LightSource Energy to upgrade the solar energy system on our home. About 5 years ago we added 1 row (used a different company) of panels. That system has paid for itself in energy savings and we decided to add another row of panels below the first one.
Robert listened to our needs and came back a range of options that would work for our needs. His proposal was fair and competitive.
He explained the pricing, installation, and entire process very thoroughly.
He worked closely with the electrician and other installer to make sure the work was done in a timely manner and with great attention to detail. He even corrected aspects of the work of the previous installation – finding a conduit unsupported, and fixing the ragged conduit cut where the wires entered through the roof
The overall process was very smooth and happened extremely quickly – even city inspectors arrived within a day of his work being completed.
I cannot recommend Robert and LightSource Energy more highly. He is an excellent communicator, is thoughtful and considerate, and is fair and honest.
