Established in 2010.

Linguava Interpreters is located in Portland, OR, the heart of America’s Pacific rim. The company was founded by language-​industry veteran David Brackett. Our corporate team brings expertise to all aspects of the business, including on-​site interpreting in a variety of settings, scheduling, customer relations and interpreter training. Linguava is committed to providing our customers with the highest level of qualified and trained interpreters. Meet the Business Owner

David B.

Business Owner

In his leadership role, David brings real-​world experience with international education, business development and foreign language studies. David has a real knack for building community. An Oregon State University graduate, he studied Speech Communications and Spanish. He spent four years working in academic leadership in Seville, Spain, and has extensive experience as a Spanish language specialist.

As a board member for the Oregon Healthcare Interpreters Association (OHCIA), he contributes to advancing the highest standards for the interpreting industry with a special focus on assuring quality access for limited-​English-​speaking patients. He is an active member of the diverse Babble On Toastmasters Club with an aim to expand his communication and business skills. He currently volunteers for the recovery program at the Portland Rescue Mission and helps as a mentor for Prison Ministry. Passionate about the Flamenco guitar, he plays in a Latin band called Los Gallos.
