If you need to get your laptop repaired, I would recommend this place, but get an estimate in writing. If you need to buy a computer, I would recommend someplace else, but if you want a really cheap one, go to this place, but remember, you get what you pay for. Everything you’re told in a phone call or conversation, get it in writing.
I bought a laptop computer from here. 4 months later it began making a loud noise after about an hour of usage. Then it would freeze for a few minutes while displaying a series of ‘bios errors” before shutting off. I was told it was probably an issue with the fan. It didn’t do this often, perhaps once a month. I hesitated bringing it out of the house to use because of the loud noise. Then I brought it in for a diagnosis. After the diagnosis, I was told this occurs to keep my computer from losing date; it would need to be replaced with a new laptop, and it would take 2 weeks. I would have to pay 60 dollars for them to back up the data, which I reluctantly agreed (why should I pay to back up the data for a computer that needs to be replaced?), but since I was also told my laptop came with a 1 yr guarantee, I decided to wait a while before doing, but to do it before the warranty expired. I was told that until I bring it in, if this happens again, just press the power button to power it off.
3 months later I brought my laptop in, and discovered my laptop had a 90 day warranty, NOT a 1 year warranty. The person who told me I had a one year warranty was no longer employed there. The manager told me he had been fired. Anyway, he said he would fix my laptop but could not make the acception for me to only pay for backing up the data. I would need to pay for a new laptop. I was furious.
The warranty expired before the first time I received the series of «bios errors». Now, until I can afford to buy a decent laptop (someplace else, of course), I will be needing to press the power button to power it off. And of course, I risk losing anything I was writing or working on when this happens.
There are plenty of computer shops in Portland. Keep that in mind when buying one.
I know that in my experience, if a coworker said we would do something, or even made an exception, I would have reluctantly abide by the acception., stressing in writing, that this was a one-​time exception that someone else made that I had to abide by, should I ever get audited in the future. This is not the case. The coworker told me I had a 1-​year warranty. He was fired. The manager said I was given the wrong information and end of story. I’m stuck with a computer with issues.

I called at the 11^th hour on a Friday with my son (a gamer) panicking over a virus attack. Ari was there with a steady hand, helpful attitude and quick resolve of the situation. My son was back to World of Warcraft that evening!
My daughter, while waiting, picked Ari and Yu’s brain about everything from Mac batteries, to PC updates while waiting for diagnostics to finish and left knowing exactly what our next steps were to keep our technology «healthy.
