History

Established in 2005.

Mad Fish Digital was started in 2005 by founding partner Ben Herman. Ben began his online career in 2003 as a freelancer building and optimizing websites for himself. During this period, he established himself as an ethical search engine optimizer in the Portland area.

By 2005, he had a small set of clients and began providing SEO/​SEM services full-​time. In 2007, his wife, Corrie Chasteen Herman, left her job in technology marketing to help grow Mad Fish Digital. The company now has 15 employees that work from their Northwest Portland offices.
