History

Established in 1981.

Since 1981, Dr. Martha Rich and her staff have been helping people achieve the kind of smile that comes with the confidence of health. Whether you are experiencing pain with the function of your bite or joints, you are looking to straighten and whiten your smile, or you simply want to keep your teeth and gums as healthy as you can for the rest of your life, we are here to help.

A graduate of OHSU and numerous advanced programs in cosmetic and preventive dentistry, Dr. Rich can of course give you a gorgeous smile, but her focus and training go far beyond that. Looking carefully at the overall functions of the teeth, jaw, head and neck, Dr. Rich uses her extensive training in temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ), neuromuscular dentistry, and functional orthodontics to be certain that she is offering you the best long-​term treatment for your overall health.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Rich for about 20 years now, and we can’t say enough about her and her staff. As along time client, it’s refreshing to go to a business where the staff is well taken care of and stays intact; they act as a great team and you can tell they like each other.
From crowns to fillings, TMJ treatment to mouthguards, Martha has done it all for us. She and her hygienist Sohela are highly trained and are a font of knowledge. What is unique about how they work is that they look at you as a whole person; your mouth can tell a lot about your health. They think holistically and it has made a world of difference in the experience we have had, and in our overall health, not just our mouth. Highly recommended!

Dr. Martha Rich is the best dentist in the world… yes I said world. She is compassionate, caring, and truly cares for her patients. She must be a really good boss too, because she has had the same staff for years. After I experienced a truly awful dentist who was obviously corrupt, I found Dr. Rich, thank goodness. If you’re feeling funny about who’s working on your mouth, my advice is change your dentist. If you find a great one like Dr. Rich stay with them for life, no matter what your insurance dictates.

I have been looking for a dentist for a long time. I finally found the one! Dr. Martha Rich and her crew are exactly what one would hope for in a dentist — professional, courteous, personable, thorough, friendly. Every step of the experience has been excellent. After my first appointment I received a long letter from Dr. Martha explaining what they had done and what we need to do from here, along with photos of my teeth. I couldn’t recommend more highly!
