Massage Envy – Johns Landing

My wife and I went to this location for massage today. I don’t pamper myself very often with massage, but after today I might reconsider. I like deep tissue massage. Typically, the deep isn’t quite deep enough for my liking. Today I received the best massage I’ve ever received from anywhere. Thank you Thomas for the outstanding work you did. I’m looking forward to making an appointment in the future with you. Keep up the good work!

I had my first Massage Envy facial with Dallas on Friday– hands down best facial I have ever had! I had the anti-​aging facial and she was very thorough in explaining each treatment and its benefit as she proceeded through the facial. Incredibly relaxing massages that accompany the facial! My skin is still glowing!

I’ve been to my fair share of ME’s across the country and this is by far the best. I found a
therapist (shout out to Steve!) and the front desk team always welcomes me by name and sends me on my way back. I hardly have to wait up front when checking in or out. Their process is a breeze. I also love that they have on site estheticians and use the impressive skin care line, Murad.
I definitely refer my family and friends to this Massage Envy location.

I’ve been coming to this location for a few years now. Reception staff is friendly and efficient, & all therapists I’ve seen are wonderful. This location is always clean, quiet, and relaxing.
Parking can be a challenge at times, the lot is shared with other businesses and rather small. Give yourself a few extra minutes — just in case. The upside is, if you park right away, you can go in & enjoy a cup of tea & a warm wrap around your neck!
I have had facials here as well. It’s 50 minutes, so kinda like an express facial. It’s all business & not really any fluff & puff.

I Haven’t had a bad massage yet. I like this one so much better than Loyd Center. It can get a little chaotic checking in and out as the reception area is tiny but everything else is 5 stars.

I drive across the city to come to this Massage Envy. The people are great, especially Jennifer (who’s often at the front desk). There’s a really positive energy at this location, and the massages are good. I seem to have a different therapist every time, because timing is important to me (more than a specific therapist), but you can request people if you prefer. And, they are open late.

Standard Massage Envy. The staff, however, was incredibly polite. They were so sincere and helpful– by far the best Massage Envy staff I’ve encountered!

Parking is incredibly limited here with a shared very small parking lot. I suggest getting there early if you have an appointment because you may need to park on another block.
The front desk staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
The first «introductory» massage is $ 59 but in the end they really would like to have you «join the club». That entails a contract paying $ 59 per month and you get 1 massage free per month and any additional 1hr massages are $ 39 each within the month. There is no pressure here though which is nice.
I was here for the introductory massage and the technician did a great job.
The premises, rooms and bathrooms are very clean.

This Massage Envy location is better than most.
The front desk staff is great. The space is clean, and actually fairly chic. The location itself is easy to get to, just off Macadam Ave, and not far from the Corbett Ave exit on I-​5.
I’ve seen quite a few massage therapists here, because I usually don’t remember to book an appointment until a week, or so ahead, and I have a very limited window to get out during the day… So I generally see whoever is available, and does deep tissue massage. I’ve seen at least half a dozen different massage therapists here, and only one did I leave unhappy with. My favorites of those I’ve seen are Samantha, Ariel, and Shawna.
The monthly rates are great, and it’s a small fee to upgrade from a 1 hour session to an hour and half, and absolutely worth it!

I have had massages from several people here. They are always ok, occasionally very good and once exceptional.
This may not sound like high praise but they are always friendly and pretty much follow my requests.
I have never had a problem with their front desk service. I see many reviews complaining of this and I am a bit puzzled. It’s a subscription service, it works like all subscription services. They ask for 24 cancellation notice or you get a half charge. Try missing a dental appt!
Anyway, they treat me nice, they are real close to my home (I know, that doesn’t help you!) and the massages are good. Especially for the price, good luck finding an hour massage for $ 40. I do go elsewhere but I will keep my monthly as its worth it.

The worst. I’ve given it 9 months too long and am eager to cancel membership. I would rather pay more for a consistently good massage than pay for something that makes me feel so disappointed and needing a massage! There is a philosophy behind mind and body and corporate franchises just do not fill this bill.

To follow up on my previous reviews I would like to add that it is a year later and I am FINALLY getting my money back. It took some legal action (Perhaps I should have mentioned to them sooner that I have friends in high places? THAT SHOULDN’T MATTER)
So yes, thanks to some legal action that cost them more than a simple reimbursement with the «customer is always right» policy, that many other SUCCESSFUL companies abide by, I got my money back. End of story though this story will continue to be told to every person I know.
If you want a massage — find any other massage envy or parlor all together.

The massages we’ve had at various Massage Envy locations have been hit or miss, heavy on the misses. For the most part, just not enough pressure or intuition used.
My partner signed up for the massage subscription and it’s not always easy to use at different locations or give me a massage as a gift. Canceling the subscription of course has a lot of rules and we finally completed the ceremony. So now we’re free agents again looking for a masseuse. I hear there many out there and they don’t sell subscriptions.

I came here last summer for their introductory massage. It was only $ 39. I couldn’t resist.
It was a wonderful deep tissue massage. Just what I wanted. No namby pamby fluffy stuff. Towards the end of the massage the lady applied a menthol type gel. It was heaven. It made my freshly beaten skin feel cool and relaxed. I seriously was more relaxed than I’d been in a while. I had a couple little kinks the massage therapist was able to work out a bit. I felt like a gaint menthol noodle.
At the exit counter the receptionist was all queued up to have me sign for their year long membership of $ 50 a month. Luckily it turned out to be decent deal. Although, I do feel as though I were liquored up and taken slightly advantage of. I guess the vast majority of folk know this place is membership based. I had no idea.
I guess $ 50 a month is pretty good for a decent massage. So far I’m pretty happy. You can also trade your massage for a facial. My skin seriously looks amazing. Their product brand of choice is MURAD. It must be good stuff, because they are only rubbing stuff on and off. No harsh physical scrubbing or beating of my delicate facial skin. I have actually had multiple people come up and tell me how glowing my skin is. Either I’m pregnant or this MURAD stuff is legit.
I chose this location due to its close vicinity to my work. Totally works for me. They definitely seem to have steady business. Never very slow. Super clean. Definitely more business in the front and Buddhist in the back. Probably could cozy it up in the front a little more. Every employee seems to be super professional. Incredibly articulate and social at the front reception. Sales Sales, Schmooze Schmooze. They certainly seem genuine.
What’s there not to like about a Massage Place. MMMMM good. LOL.

When I come here (every couple of months) I get the same skilled, high quality massages that I am used to at my regular location in Seattle.
I have been a member for a year and a half and plan on staying a member while I live in the US.
The customer service here has also really impressed me. Jennifer is out standing! She went above and beyond to accommodate me.

They did not treat my girlfriend well. Terrible customer service. She’s really mad. Want to buy a massage for your girlfriend? Please do it somewhere else.

Terrible customer service :(I heard great things before going, but was really saddened by their lack of care. I’d recommend Dragontree or Rejuvenation Spa above this poor attempt.

In a world where I torture my body regularly, massages are a necessity. I think I have started signing up for various events purely so I can justify a massage (and beer) after. Of all the Massage Envy locations I have visited, I have liked this one the best.
This location is super convenient for me and they seem to have great availability the day of. Having said that, if you wait until the last minute, you may end up with one of the less popular therapists.
The staff at the front desk is probably the friendliest I have encountered as well which sets the tone for a relaxing visit. Once you are checked in, they lead you to the waiting room that has water, tea, mints and Hershey Kisses. I am easily won over by chocolate.
If you are a member, it costs $ 49 per month for an hour massage which is really about 50 minutes of massage and 5 minutes each pre and post changing. I believe additional massages are $ 39 for an hour. If you don’t use your massage that month you can carry it over to the next and I haven’t encountered a limit on carry-​overs. If you want aromatherapy, add-​ons, they will cost extra. So far I have had two exceptional massages here, the rest have been good and only one that wasn’t so great (again that was a last minute booking). They seem to have a very large staff, so it’s easy enough to find a therapist you click with.
They do take some insurance (mostly if you’ve been in an auto accident). If you can swing it, or if you have to beg, borrow or steal, I definitely recommend it.

Really enjoyed my experience at Massage Envy. Even for a chain this place was soothing, relaxing, and the staff here is great.
An hour massage for $ 40 is quite a steal. Even if you buy into their monthly membership it’s a good deal in comparison to most spas.
The waiting room is a bit small and filled up rather quickly before my appointment. I was a tad early and ended up waiting back there for about 30 minutes.
This isn’t your typical spa though so don’t go in expecting a steam room, snacks, or anything along those lines.
You have to pay extra for aromatherapy… like $ 10-​$ 15 extra which seemed a bit spendy.
Overall I would highly recommend coming here especially if you are just looking for a quick treatment.

I received a quality 90 minute full body and deep back massage today. Megan was my therapist and she is outstanding. Very professional, caring, graceful and strong. She is mindful in how she conducts her therapy and her expertise is apparent. This was my first time with her and I look forward to my next session. The scheduling/​reception personnel are also very friendly and accommodating.
I must mention that not all of the therapists practice at such a skill level as I received today. I highly recommend Megan.

I was pretty skeptical about this place because it seems so corporate.
However, after taking a beating while snowboarding this last weekend, my boyfriend and I decided to try it out — they have a $ 39 1 hour massage special for first-​timers, so the price was right.
In my experience, good massages cost much more than $ 39, so the price was another reason I was skeptical.
My boyfriend and I decided to do a couple’s massage and we both loved it. I was very impressed by the therapists experience and techniques — I felt like a noodle afterwards. I don’t like therapists to talk to me much during the massage, I feel like it breaks my relaxation if I have to continuously
Their member program is actually VERY affordable as well. For $ 50 a month, you get a one hour massage each month and discounted rates on other services as well.
