Well, this place has improved a little ever since the new owners took over the space. The service is more friendly, the food seems cleaner(at least the presentation is nicer and it hasn’t been featured on «Dirty Dining» like the last establishment). However, the massive drop in foot traffic — it is nowhere nearly as busy as it used to be — is affecting the freshness of the food. I tried four different tacos(carne asada, al pastor, chicken, carnitas) and all they all tasted almost the same. They were all dried, the meats a bit on the fatty side(but not in a good way), and needed to be drenched in lime juice and salsa in order to get some kind of moistness in there. While I appreciated the double tortilla, it only made it even worse. The tacos here are $ 1.25 each but you can find better multiple, superior taco trucks all within a mile that cost only $ 1 each. I feel bad, they’re nice people and all but the place just doesn’t cut it.
