I have received more compliments on the color in the last 12 hours than I have ever received on any color before. I’ve been seeing Jena for over 10 years now. She is absolutely amazing! She will listen to you and then make your hair much better than what you had planned. She once flat refused to give me a perm… and ohhhhh… was she right! Jena is a beautiful colorist as well. She gives you that gorgeous «I just got done riding my horse on the beach» look without the top $$$ you’d spend elsewhere. She does not charge for therapy– which is still another awesome bonus.
The salon itself is gorgeous. It has a little area out front for having a coffee (pick up a cup next door) and has a beautiful interior. It’s not your big-​box, sell you everything they can-​and out the door place. There is also minimal employee turn-​over, especially compared to other salons. Once you fall in love with a stylist they won’t be missing the next time you drop by. Absolutely a GEM in Portland.

I love this cute and stylish salon! I needed a makeover and fresh look for an event and Jena delivered. She made me feel very comfortable making a change, and is well versed in current styles and techniques. She updated my boring look, and I can’t wait to revisit her through the seasons for fun new updates. I love the Moroccan Oil product they carry and will be back for more. I even picked up a super cute bracelet from the jewelry cabinet for a great price!

Very pleased with the haircut I received here. Kim R. was my stylist and she took her time and did exactly what I told her I wanted done. She was very professional and didn’t push any products or hairstyles that I didn’t want. I like that the price they quote the customer includes a wash, cut and dry because that is not always the case with salons. I will likely go back since it is the closest salon to my home (Sellwood neighborhood) and the service is quite good. –R

I have had my hair cut and colored by both Shawna and Kim R. I highly recommend this salon for it’s comfortable and cool atmosphere, great customer service from their receptionist Kaitlin, the warm conversation that goes on around you, and the teensy tiny fact that you walk out with awesome hair. I feel like this is a salon where I can have fun with my hair, but also some place that my mom or grandma might enjoy. Definitely worth the drive to Sellwood!
