Got take out sushi from here. Was very busy on a Wednesday night. Large menu and everything tasted fresh. I’ll be ordering from here more often!

Blandest sushi I’ve ever had. Ordered 3 rolls, only one had a little flavor. Worse than sushi from the grocery store! Spider roll was FULL of crab shell. Server refused to leave a sauce off of my roll until I told her I was allergic.

This is my favorite sushi in Portland! This Mio Sushi location in particular is great! Cute neighborhood restaurant — lots of regulars! Everyone is super friendly. Angie always remembers my girlfriend likes a side of Sriracha. & the Ahi Tataki roll is to die for.

I didn’t realize this was in my neighborhood. We stopped for lunch and had fabulous food in a lovely presentation. The service was attentive, but not intrusive. I can’t wait to try it again.

Large yummy rolls at a reasonable price. The staff at this location are the friendliest of all their stores.

I gave 4 stars not only because the volcano roll was great but because we arrived right at closing and they were very accommodating in letting us eat our dinner without rushing us! Yummy

Sushi there is why I stopped eating sushi for so long because of mediocre quality of fish, rice and sauce(unless you love sweet sushi!). The staff is great but I am not about to spend that much money for that. It was not cheap at all given the poor quality. Not my cup of tea but the place is constantly packed so go figure.

My favorite sushi place for the value I get. I wish it was open on Sundays! The staff is also very friendly. My favorite roll is the Mt. Fuji. I’m not a fan of raw fish and I like a little sweetness to my rolls so this is perfect.

This isn’t amazing sushi but it is good and fresh! I do give them 5 stars for service. They are so attentive and nice. They make you feel like you’re the most important person there and for that, I keep going back!

I love Mio Sushi!!! Cute little restaurant, affordable sushi, the staff is always friendly, the service is always speedy, and the food is consistently delicious! Oh and they have a patio in good weather. My daughter gets a kids bento box of miso soup, rice, edamame, and 2 entrees and it fills her up for $ 8. Their goma salad is perfect! They have a ton of rolls for people who like to mix up the sushi. I have eaten at this location at least 10x and have left happy and full every time.

I haven’t eaten that much sushi but I will never go back to Mio sushi ever again. I thought I was ordering a variety of 3 different kinds of rolls(3 California, 3 shrimp tempura, and 3 Mount Hood) for a total of 9, a nice portion for lunch for one person. To my surprise the waiter brings out 66 pieces of sushi with a smug look on his face. I asked him what was this and why didn’t he say something to me when I was ordering? I obviously was confused and he walked away with the same smug look on his face. He could have said hey, this is a lot of food for one person are you sure you are reading the menu correctly? It doesn’t say on the menu, 8 pieces total per order, it just has a picture of the particular role you are ordering. I think this is bad business practice, poor customer service and the fact that he was smiling the whole time with no sincere apology for not saying something to me sealed the deal on this place. I paid for the food because it was the right thing to do but what a waste!

Great Mio Sushi location! The food is the same as every other location(delicious and reasonably priced), but the staff here is incredibly friendly and accommodating.

Great sushi and good prices. I’m no sushi expert, but I went in with a pretty hungry date and we ate for about $ 32(only 1 glass of wine). I’m sure there are cheaper sushi places, but I think they probably use cheaper ingredients. I felt like the food and service was on par for what I paid. Would return based on location and price.

This is one of our go to sushi places. We haven’t been in a while because of the construction on Greeley. The seating is limited, but the sushi is fresh and so tasty! You won’t be disappointed.

Another pricey yet mediocre sushi place. It’s sad when you spend $ 35 just for yourself and walk away disappointed and still hungry. For the quality for sushi I received, I could have gone to Sushi Land for much cheaper. Even the bento plate I had ordered cannot be put into words except WTH was that? It’s a shame because this area could use a great dining establishment especially it’s it right smack in the middle of homes. I was hoping this could be my go to sushi joint since it was a few steps from my place. I guess I’ll stick to O-sushi.

Mio Sushi is a good neighborhood spot for a sushi fix. Friendly staff makes you feel welcome and the food is consistently good, as I’m a regular for lunch. I’d recommend stopping in for a bite if you’re in the neighborhood. Four stars: suggested if you’re looking for a good bite in the area. I’ll go back based on reliability of service, consistency of dishes and convenience of location.

I’m surprised to see bad reviews here, but to each one’s own. During my four years as a University of Portland student, my friends(and parents when they were in town) and I frequented Mio on Friday or Saturday nights when we wanted to get off campus. Although I had to wait in an area with limited space, I have never had an issues with service once my friends/family and I were seated. I always got the strawberry lemonade, and loved the addition of real strawberries. It was so good that I would take advantage of their free refills. :-) I also loved their«sushizzas,»(sushi pizza) and have yet to see this item at other sushi restaurants. However, all the sushi I had is amazing and not super expensive considering that it is high quality. Still hungry after sushi? I’d recommend their green tea ice cream and key lime claypso. The key lime claypso is has the texture of mousse but not as rich as its chocolate cousin – although I may be biased as a key lime fan. :-) My friend turned me on to green tea ice cream, and given that I am not a green tea fan, my recommendation says a lot. Though I have mostly been here for dinner, a friend and I had lunch the day before I moved. The restaurant wasn’t as crowded then, so if you want to avoid crowds and long waits, lunch is the time to go. I know some reviewers have compared this location to others, but I can’t add my two cents as I have only been to the Killingsworth location. I miss Mio dearly since I left Portland after graduating in May 2012, and will come back should I find myself in Portland.

Boring and vanilla. The lunch sashimi plate is tuna, salmon and snapper. no other options(or if there were the waitress wasnt aware). Spotty service. Great sake selection. I’ll be back because it’s close, not because its anything special.
