History

Established in 2005.

Mod Pop Art Furniture started out creating Furniture from Recycled kitchen cabinets, antiques, and other discarded furniture. My first trademark piece was an old 70’s TV console painted in bold red, black and white. An oil painting of a white english terrier was attached on the front, aka Andy Warhol; the Inside was inlayed with a paisley fabric. I opened a store in Portland selling chic, upscale, upcycle items, and was chosen funkiest store in Portland, but I wasn’t cut out for retail. I wanted to spend more time creating art furniture for my customers. Now my furniture is displayed in homes, restaurants, hotel lobbys and even in a yacht around the country. I’m about ready to do a Lady GaGa (Queen of Pop) cabinet for a customer and can be seen on my web page soon at www.modpopartfurniture. Well, I’ve been creating art and upcycling for some time, my studio is located in the great city of Portland Or. I have been artistic all my life, and wanted to design and create art furniture at a different level, recycle. Yes I know recycle sounds so cliché, but The problem Is, only a small percentage of people do actully recycle, Have you notice the stuff people just toss away! Go to any trash bin In a apartment complex and you see where i’m coming from

So, I’m creating upcycle furniture that is fun, colorful, and exciting! and at the same time, saving resources, reusing items that may have ended up in a landfill! Let me create a custom piece for you!
