Besides the small tavern on the other corner, this is the only place to pick up cold drinks, snacks, cigarettes, coffee, etc. nearby; otherwise you do have to drive a bit. There are a few tables to sit with your coffee and also some Keno machines and a television. I stopped this morning and got a cup of coffee and a tasty lemon poppyseed muffin. Prices are excellent. The counter ladies were very nice and served me quickly and let me sit there as long as I wanted. I know there are sandwiches and such, but I didn’t look at the menu. There are a lot of regulars and I enjoyed the neighborhood friendly feeling. I will come back here again when I’m out this way working.

I didn’t try anything from the deli, but my experience in the convenience store was a pretty good one. I didn’t buy much, but I’m impressed with their prices, and the counter clerk was very kind to me. On my id I look completely different and he asked me my date of birth just to be sure it was me! I take this as a good thing – he’s actually paying attention. On the other hand, he was hard to understand, the floors were sticky and the beer fridge is a little unorganized and chaotic.
