Mt. Scott Family Dental

I picked this dental office from reading reviews and the location. Hands down to all the great people who I have encountered. I let them know up front how scared I am of the dentist office and they have really eased my fears. I no longer hold on for dear life. LoL

The front desk needs improvement. They do not check insurance cards which resulted in some pretty hefty bills. They also maxed out the limit for the year in the first visit. All this after numerous «reminder» calls which we had to repeat the same insurance information.

My fiancé and I chose this destist based on location, but regardless of that Mt Scott. Is amazing! The staff here are the friendliest bunch of people ever, and they’ve been more than helpful when it came to scheduling and recommending an oral surgeon. We are beyond happy with this dentistry!!!

Hands down, the best dental office EVER. I grew up using a small town dental office, and to be honest, they basically spoiled their patients – they always knew everyone (even when you only came in once a year), they always had open appointments, and they gave great customer service. I bounced around dental offices after I moved away from my «home base» dentist, but I was totally striking out every single time. (I’m looking at you, Kaiser. The WORST offender!) Enter Mt. Scott Family Dental.
The Good:
*Convenience of scheduling online via ZocDoc
*Good customer service on the phone and at the front desk
*Great appointment availability — if not, they are great about working you in, especially if it’s urgent
*Amazing assistants/​techs who make you feel like a VIP instead of just another number (Vanessa always makes me feel so at ease)
*Great dental hygienists (I love Debbie! and Larissa, who I’ve had one appointment with, is great, too!) who are FAST but do not compromise quality for speed
*Dr. Howe knows what he’s doing and is a total seasoned pro; he’s knowledgeable, lightning fast, and so good at what he does. Even nerve-​wracking or potentially painful procedures (extractions, fillings, etc) are handled with ease; Dr. Howe has my gums numbed before I even know there’s a needle in the vicinity of my face, which is great since I have a slight phobia of needles. Bonus– he even called me at 6:30 at night after I had my first tooth extraction just to check in. I really appreciated the gesture.
The Bad? Nothing, at least not yet.
I have been to Mt. Scott Family Dental 6 times in the last year (twice a year cleanings + fillings, extractions – thanks to years avoiding dental offices in-​between awful experiences with other practices) and every experience has been top notch. Mt. Scott Family Dental even trumps the practice I went to for 15 years straight. I refer EVERYONE I know to this office; if you’re not going here, you’re missing out.

This is the greatest dentist office I have ever been to. Everyone from the front desk to the dentist were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this clinic

Mt. Scott Family Dental is the BEST! Love the dentists and the staff, I’ve seen a few dentists in my life and have had reasonably great experiances but none like at Mt. Scott. Vey knowladgeable on every one of my dental needs, providing all of the most up to date treatments, including sleep dentistry in case you have any phobias to the dental office. Love love love!

Mt. Scott family dental is the most treat-​you-​like-​family kind of office you will ever go to! Both doctors will bend over backwards to accomodate their patients needs and the hygienests are so personable. Highly reccomended!

I switched my daughter here a few years ago after she had an extremely traumatic experience with another dentist. She was 7, and accompanied a friend to the friend’s appointment so she could check it out. She really liked the staff and the dentist. She is now 15, and has no problems coming in twice a year for checkups and cleanings.
My younger child was born with a cleft lip and palate and we had been referred to a pediatric specialty dentist, which worked out fine until he was 5 or so. Then he had a horrible experience and so we brought him to Mt. Scott Family Dental as well. We have found that they do a much better job with children (especially sensitive or fearful ones!) that the «pediatric dentist!»
I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to have a dentist and hygienist that my children enjoy going to see!

These people are soo very nice! They really care about you and your well being. A++ highly recommend.

The entire staff here are so thorough and customer service focused. Highly recommended!

Mt. Scott Dental feels like family and has the best staffing of any dental office.
