Incredible pieces at equally incredible prices. I left with a few picture frames, a large canvas floral print and a handful of silk flower for about $ 45. The items they have are great quality and trendy. I will happily return next time I need home décor or furniture.

Such a unique store with so many great pieces. The constantly changing inventory keeps us coming back whenever we’re in the Pearl. It’s amazing to find high quality solid wood pieces at these prices.

If you like unique, simple furniture(weathered-meets-contemporary by way of funky cottage), surprises, and secretly hope you buy something no one else has, Nadeau is your spot. I’ve been in four times and bought three items: a large French grey cubby bench and a couple of funky leather-topped metal bracket stools. And believe me, there have been many other pieces that have caught my eye… It’s a unique assortment of imported furniture in a plethora of colors: lots of neutrals, it’s true, but also some lovely eye-popping blues, greens, yellows, and reds. With fairly regular shipments, the inventory changes frequently(hence my multiple visits), and if you sign up for emails you get info on new arrivals. That’s kind of important, because many of the pieces are solo ones. Unfortunately we’ve been shopping for nightstands for a while, so will have to get lucky to find a pair at Nadeau. But no problem; having recently moved into a larger space there’s plenty of things to eventually purchase instead. Prices are excellent for the quality, though be aware that they keep costs low by prohibiting returns and not offering delivery. Measure well! You can typically ask them to hold a piece for you for a day or so, however, depending on their warehouse space availability and when a new shipment is coming in. If I could furnish my entire house with furniture from here, I just might. None of the corporate or too-sleek feel of other furniture stores, with plenty of eclecticism and good taste. A recipe for style, indeed…

You’re better of shopping on their website first. I think they have complete listing of their furniture online. Once you go there, it’s impossible to find anything. they stack table up side down on top of each other… cabinets on top of dressers… chairs all over the place… very cramp space to walk through the shop. I think they should just get a larger place that’s not in the heart of the pearl since rent is probably high… with that being said, prices seem to be pretty cheap in comparison to other places. so worth looking. happy furniture hunting!

Great furniture shop in the Pearl district! They have a lot of high quality furniture pieces which have unique character. The price point is very reasonable compared to some other shops in the area. Never had a bad experience while shopping and the Nadeau staff was always eager to help with questions. I thought it was neat to hear the history of the company from Sean/Shannon and how they got started in Portland. They also offer free coffee to their customers!

Be careful as this is not at all a consumer friendly establishment. They do have a «all sales final» policy. I would expect reason though when you buy something and change your mind before leaving the store with the product. The manager gave an excuse that made zero sense as to why he couldn’t refund. He said they move furniture so fast he needs the room for more furniture. That couldn’t be the reason obviously in this case. I said I would like a store credit. He originally said he can’t, not their policy. I advised him I was not leaving with the furniture and he then said I will give you a store credit, but you have to use it today. Again, I said why today. I don’t see the item I want but am willing to wait. He said they don’t have a system to keep up with a store credit. When I advised him that is a problem with his poor system he didn’t say much and wrote out a credit on a piece of paper. They may have unique stuff, but they have little care for their customers.

Best… furniture store… in Portland! To quickly summarize, Nadeau has: 1) All wood furniture 2) Fashionable pieces, but in a timeless sort of way(ie, not trendy) 3) Unique pieces(very few of the same thing made… ever) 4) Unbeatable prices I am at that stage in my life where particle board, IKEA quality just doesn’t cut it. Going up in quality is tricky though, because furniture gets expensive, fast. To stay in my price range, I would look at Cost Plus World Market and Pier One. I had always assumed that those two stores used all wood, but much to my disappointment they still use a lot of particle board and something called MDF(medium density fiberboard) so the quality of their furniture is only marginally better than IKEA. I had resigned myself to only buying the non-wood furniture going forward… until I discovered Nadeau. It was a fluke that I found an ad for their furniture on Craigslist of all places. That led me to their website where I concluded that I would have to just see what they have in person. Their shop, right next to Oven and Shaker, is for utility, not presentation. They cram all of their furniture on top of each other in only a small semblance of order(tables next to tables, chairs next to chairs… for the most part). What the place lacks in character it more than makes up for in quality. Now, a big part about what makes Nadeau different from chain furniture stores is that they don’t create thousands of the same thing for hundreds of locations. Instead, the store buys just a few unique pieces and once they are sold… that’s it. As a result of their business model, they keep prices extremely competitive and all but ensure that the furniture you buy from them you won’t see at you cousin’s house when you’re attending his daughters bat mitzvah… or anywhere else. The pieces I have purchased there get lots of compliments from friends and family. Rather than give you a breakdown of how much everything there costs, I just recommend you go there and see for yourself.

This place is a maze of diverse, unique, affordable furniture. Really happy with my purchase and looking forward to next excuse to come back.
