Recently started going to Nathan. He gives a great haircut, and takes pride in his work. He is priced reasonably, and is also quite amicable. It is easy to get an appointment with a 24-​hr notice. He makes the overall experience a pleasure — I left his salon looking dapper and feeling confident!

I have been searching all over for a good place to get a haircut since I moved to Portland. I have bounced around to a couple different places but Nathan has been the best by far. He was personable, knowledgeable, and gave a great cut. The shop is small but very nice. I would highly recommend.
I would give 5 stars but it was missing a few minor things that I have received other places such as a straight razor neck shave. I also thought $ 30 was a bit pricey.

One man, one chair. Nate knows his haircutting business and he does it with pride and great enthusiasm. I stopped by hoping he could fit me in that day, and he did. Really saved the day, as I was ready to take to the scissors myself (that kind of bad hair day!). He takes time to consult about your wants/​needs; then shampoo; and an after cut rinse.
It’s so rare to come across this type of service oriented establishment. I recommend him without reservation.

Solid experience at Nathan Charles Cuts today — when I called, Nate picked up on the first ring to schedule an appointment.
Nate’s a great guy. 25 $ for a men’s cut, a pretty reasonable price for the great job he did. Nate is a great conversationalist and checks with you to see what you want. I recommend it!
