The worst customer service I have ever received, which really makes a statement because I’m an employee myself. The minute I walked in, there was absolutely no greeting, all the employees just dispersed and I had to go and approach someone in order to find what I needed. The employees were talking amongst themselves the entire time, circled up, it felt like walking into a jr. high hallway.

Great location with a nice variety of items for purchase. Cody has helped me on several occasions, good knowledge of the products and great attitude! Spend some cash before you leave our beautiful city.

After a recent business trip that ended in a loss of a brand new pair of shoes, I happened to find myself in need of some new kicks. As it would be, my need was oddly filled by the Nike Store in PDX. While the selection wasn’t as large as other store, for the size of the location, they did carry a nice selection of the latest trends, and surprisingly had a size 11 in women’s in stock. They also carried some other clothing merchandise, such as shirts, gloves, etc. Don’t expect to blowout sales, but you will pay retail. On the plus side, it is Oregon and you can take advantage of sales tax free shopping.

After visiting all the Nike stores in Portland(including the Nike Outlets), I actually found the best deal on a pair of Nike Free shoes at this small airport Nike store. While the outlet has some items for less than retail, I was able to find a similarly priced pair of Nike Run + 3 Shield shoes in black/grey for 74.99. Normally the shoes would go for 100 – 110 retail. Plus, shopping in Portland is tax-free even at the PDX airport so these were exactly 74.99. I couldn’t find anything like this in the Nike Store or Outlet so I was really happy to see the airport store has some variety and a decent selection. Otherwise, from what I could tell, everything else in the store was selling at retail. But if you’re looking to take advantage of tax-free shopping, don’t forget the airport Nike store is a suitable option and as a last resort or as something to kill time with before you board your flight.
