Oregon Peak Adventures is the premier outdoor adventure guide service based in Portland, OR. With over 30 years of climbing and exploring in the Pacific Northwest, we are passionate about sharing our love for this spectacular area with our clients.
Our experienced, professional guides will take you for mountain and backcountry experiences ranging from half day local hikes to challenging multi-day climbs or backpacking trips.
We provide transportation, any required equipment, and we feed you.

Joe W.
Business Owner
Joe Whittington, President of Oregon Peak Adventures, is a registered Oregon Outfitter/Guide. A native Oregonian, he is intimately familiar with the Pacific Northwest and has climbed and trekked throughout the United States, Africa, South America, and Asia.
Joe is a climb leader and instructor for the Mazamas Mountaineering Club, a certified Wildness First Responder, a PADI Open Water diver, and a CPR/First Aid instructor. He is a member of the American Alpine Club, Wilderness Medical Society, American Mountain Guides Association, and Vice President for Mountaineering, Oregon Guides and Packers Association.
Past careers included high-tech marketing executive, US Navy Intelligence officer, and college professor.
