I had my springs replaced recently. The service guy was professional and did a great job! There was no mess and no hidden fees.

Very poor experience.
Pre-​installation experience:
We ordered our door a few months back. Finally got it installed.
Once we paid our ½ down, we had 0 communication until I repeatedly reached out until we received an installation date. There was no prep for us on what we needed to do other than «make some room to fit 2 cars».
Installation day experience:
We did what we were asked and I even sent pictures to our sales guy and he said we were good to go. Once the installers came to the house, they had to move a ton of things and make room.
The issues:
1. Upon installing the door, there was a ½ inch gap about 4 feet in length.
2. There were a series of error messages on the opener itself.
They came back to fix both and treated my wife poorly, were rude and were upset that they weren’t told that they needed to close the gap and had to come back. Why should they need to be told? Bad craftsmanship. The fix was a 4 foot bar and brush drilled into the door. Terrible looking and they never communicated the fix. We may have investigated other options.
Over a month later, we’re still getting error messages on the opener and the door doesn’t work 100% of the time. They’ve communicated that they’ve come out to fix things and haven’t.
Today they came out and had to leave because they didn’t bring a staple gun. Issue is still unresolved.
Gross incompetence.

Avoid at all costs! The people that work there are horribly rude and incompetent. It took 4 weeks for them to replace a third of a door. Noone returns calls or let’s you know what is happening. Many excuses. The receptionist is possibly the most unpleasant person I have ever had the displeasure of working with, followed closely by the owner. Rude, grumpy and insulting. They need to work on their people skills. I will never be calling on them again.

We bought a Genie garage door opener from them in 2011. It works very well and reliably. Today Charlie came out to do an inspection to make sure all is well. It is. And he explained things about our remote openers that I didn’t know. Charlie is very courteous and a good listener.

If you have a garage door you need to have Overhead in your speed dial. Jim and his staff are beyond friendly and knowledgeable in their field. If you need a door for a new construction or need to replace an existing garage door or even need you current door serviced this is the company I highly recommend.

These guys are really great to work with. Not only do they have a tremendous selection, but they provide great service. Even though they are part of the Overhead Door national brand, they are family-​run, so you get that personal attention. When I was with the Trail Blazers, they installed some commercial doors for our arena team store, that were not just functional but they looked amazing!

Excellent quality products with stable, honest ownership. This is a very competitive business, so I felt very good using an established company backed by a major national brand. Great service every time.

I don’t normally give bad reviews, let alone a 1 star review. I feel however, that I have no choice but to let others know what I’ve been through before they look into using these guys for a garage door.
I first called them on Thursday October 9^th with a request for some info and a quote on a metal roll up door. I was told mike just got into the office and wasn’t ready to take calls yet and sent to his voicemail. I left a voicemail with my name number and a brief description of what I was after. The rest of Thursday passed, no call back. At this point I wasn’t remotely concerned. I get it, business is busy and I’m not their only costumer. Friday came and went. I thought «ok busy week I’m sure I’ll hear back early next week. Monday, Tuesday both passed no calls back. I called again at the end of the day Tuesday I was told mike is on the phone with another customer and again directed to his voicemail. I left my second voicemail Tuesday October 14^th. I waited the whole rest of the week with no call back. I finally decided on Monday October 20^th that I would just go into the office in nw Portland and see if I could make something work with that approach. When I walked in, there was mike in his office and he gladly spent 2 – 3 min and provided me with a quote. I drove home and called back that afternoon to accept the quote Id gotten from mike. Again I was told Mike is with another customer and to leave a message. I left a voicemail letting him know my proposal number and that I was wishing to put my 50% down and get this thing going. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. No calls back. I called again today, Thursday October 23^rd. After being asked to leave another voicemail I asked what the deal was. The lady tried to tell me mike has been out on vacation. I then reminded her of my visit to their office on Monday and she recalled me coming in and tried to change her story that mike was on vacation for a week and a half. Back in for a day, followed by another vacation and he will be back ok the office sometime next week. If you are going to tell me a lie, at least make it halfway believable.
Overall my experience there has been far worse then awful. A waste of my time energy and quite insulting being treated like a fool. I run a business as well and understand when things are busy it’s hard to get back to everyone, however, honesty goes a long ways
