Every time I come to palace I find something new and cool, the selection and curation makes it one of my very favorite shops in Portland. Scents, housewares, bags, new and perfectly selected vintage clothes mix together brilliantly. If you’re on the fence about visiting, go!

This is my favorite shop in Portland. The owner is amazing, and the people she hires are very sweet. I love the new shop on E. Burnside, as it is a bit more central and expansive. The jewelry curation is truly spectacular– over the years this has been where I found the earrings I wore in my bohemian wedding, to my favorite birthday presents to myself. ;) I love the clothing lines that Charlotte selects for store, and I always leave inspired.
It is no wonder that Unilocal is full of rave reviews, and they are well-​deserved. If you are an artist of any kind, you will appreciate this trove.

I went to this store to look at their Ace and Jigg selection and their toiletries. I am always looking for unique, natural beauty products. They have a good selection of both among lot’s of other really nice home and clothing items They definitely appeal to the natural, laid back, minimal aesthetic that is popular right now. The only problem I had was the smell. It had a really strong incense or candle smell that bothered my asthma.

PALACE IS AWESOME!!! Walking into the store you find it magical, unique, and exciting each time. The staff are awesome and super sweet. It’s a place of serenity. I got a candle, small music box, and 3 crystals. Feel like each item in the store is carefully thought out and touch with love and tenderness. It’s a pretty special store. Love going into local boutiques that feel unique and like no other. PALACE is that. :-)

Hands down, my favorite Portland shop! For me, Palace is really more of an art gallery, beautifully and thoughtfully curated. I work down the road and whenever I find myself early to work, I love to wander through. I’m always inspired here. Love the pastel colors, the plants, the sweet attention to detail. This place is obviously a labor of love and so so well done.

This store is amazing, it is a perfect mix of adorable vintage clothing and home goods and new pieces by smaller scale designers. This is a place I come to browse when I have an afternoon to myself or if I have visitors from out of town. I’ve always gotten a great vibe from the employees, always helpful and never pretentious.

Really? Are we talking about the same place? Overpriced «vintage» mixed in with new. A ragged t shirt priced at $ 40, that you would find at Goodwill. I’ve tried to shop there several times and each time, the sales person never greets anyone and ignores you the whole time. There were 3 people in the shop and she spent all her time whispering and laughing with her friend. Ridiculous! I will not go there again. If there was an option for no star, that would be my vote.

Without a doubt my favorite shop in Portland for well curated vintage clothing and affordable designer pieces. Lovely soaps & incense, makeup & perfumes, jewelry, & housewares. They always have a selection of neat things on sale too!

Love Palace! Love Charlotte! What a wonderfully curated shop full of carefully selected items. There’s something for everyone at palace and the owner Charlotte is dear and sweet. She clearly cares about her shop and her customers.

I went there last week to see if I could find an Xmas gift for my wife. Neither of the two employees acknowledged my presence the entire time I was there. Even though they have nice things for sale, I would never go back.

This place is SO cool. I really really liked a lot of what they had… The downside is how expensive it is. They mix new and vintage, which I like, but both are really spendy. The lady working was helpful without bothering us, which was nice because sometimes being alone in a small shop like that can be weird.

Lots of fun bathing products here. And moroccan eyeliner? Want want want.

Heather S is clearly the store owner with only one Unilocal review and it being of this store. Personal remarks toward a former customer is rude and inappropriate. Unfortunately this is in fact the type of people who work at and own this store. Shop at your own behest.
Also notable I try not to shop at the mall and support small business but this is not one worth supporting.

I get pretty excited when I even think about coming here.
The shop is beautiful, smells wonderful, and is impeccably curated. I always look through everything, partially because of how the store is organized (by color) and partially because I don’t want to miss anything. You really never know what you might find, but it will probably be amazing. The prices are reasonable (not cheap) for the rarity and quality of each item.
Ladies, a great selection of thigh-​high socks!
Also worth mentioning is that they clean all of the vintage clothes, so you don’t have to worry where something has been, and it all smells great.

Really great clothing items can be found here as well as some swell Hansel From Basil tights & socks (it’s getting chilly!). I often find all sorts of household items, like Fog Linen dish towels & aprons, as well as vintage tablecloths, too.
Other items I really like would include the OLO perfumes, Wolf Honey (both local), Butter nail polish — no awful toluene or acetone — interesting locally made jewelry can also be spotted here. For some really shameless self-​promotion, I must also add that Pink Slip Jam is also stocked on the shelves.
Charlotte is the owner & has a great eye. Many of the pieces of clothing I find really amusing because I am old enough to have worn them the first go-​round, but I understand the styles, the quality, colors, & cuts she is going for & they are so flattering. There is something there for just about everyone. I also noticed they are stocking some lovely new perfumes from Brooklyn (D S & Durga), some soaps, some Main & Goetz beauty products, and many more fun, quirky pick-​me-​ups. I heartily endorse Palace!

Palace is one of the more odd vintage shops I’ve set foot in. Usually when I think of vintage stores I picture a hoarder’s den stuffed full of musty clothing… racks jammed to the brim with all sorts of crazy stuff found, bought, or collected from the bins.
Not Palace.
This place is as clean as the cleanest boutique. You can tell it’s run by someone with at least mild OCD as the clothing in here is very neatly organized by shade and hue of color, and it’s all perfectly spaced on the rack. This is actually an organizational system that I, being someone of non-​average size, loathe. Sine I know that there will be very little that fits me in the racks, I prefer organization by size, so I can go straight to my size to see what token items remain. So when I see a shop like this I don’t even bother digging. But I’m going to guess that they don’t have much in my size anyway — lots of work, little reward.
But my gripe aside, for someone with a smaller frame than I, this store has a lot of really cool stuff in the racks. I did do a quick scan and it looked like a lot of fun, bright, clean stuff. They had some cool shoes on display, and the front case had some fun looking accessories.
What sold me was the super friendly staff. I was on a specific mission and the girl running the counter was helpful, friendly, and honest. She even had recommendations of other shops where I might be able to find what I was looking for. I’m used to rolling into vintage stores not dressed in vintage myself and getting the stink eye. Not here. Props.
If I ever shrink, I’ll stop back in for some shoppin’.

This place is clean, has a great selection of vintage. Not a huge range of sizes, but that goes without saying for a certain amount of vintage clothing.
I went in on a Monday, just looking out of curiosity, and quickly found a few items my Taurean materialism could not live without. Vintage Zappa t-​shirt, impeccably fresh and not a boxy cut? Above the knee yellow leather boots? Adorable plaid mini-​skirt that actually FITS my waist and ass? Okay, okay. I’ll take you little orphans home… the price was average-​ish for most of the clothing. Worth it for the condition they are in. Pricey to me, but worth every penny. I want to wear these boots everywhere!
As I giggled quietly with delight, trying on dress after dress, the very pleasant bespectacled girl working the store filled me in that Mondays are 15% off. Woah. I love you?
They also have some trinket-​type things – handmade jewelry, scarves, cute half-​aprons, cassette tapes, incense… etc.
A really decent store with a great selection and nice vibe.

I have to say, I’m pretty blown away by the vision of this store. Within it’s first month or so it’s already got a very distinct vibe to it. The clothes are laid out by style (tops, bottoms, sweaters, pants etc.) and then by color. The entire store seems to be organized unisex, which I actually like a lot — and would assume women would like even more.
It’s a big space, and there’s lots browse. There’s a small, surprisingly decent selection of vinyl and cassettes, lots of jewelry, sunglasses, incense and other items.
The shop’s owner used to run the Rad Summer, when it was on Division a few years back. The vintage seems better curated and the mixed in local designers is nice to see. This store seems like they’re trying to be more selective and direct about what they want represented. It’s working so far, as I’ve found something each time I’ve visited. As well, the staff have been very helpful, and genuine.
