I have been coming to Paulins for a long time Forest ave but of late the service has gonedown always new people working on my car and most of the time work is not done, When dan the manager walked out and Donnie left its not the same service at all

Had brake problem with my Ford F350 while on vacation, they couldn’t have been more helpful! They took me in right away and had me out the door within a few hours. Price was very reasonable and work was done perfectly! Too bad you guys aren’t in my home town because it hard to find a good mechanic who’s fair and honest. Great job guys… Thanks again!

I came here after my tire unexpectedly blew out based on a classmate’s recommendation. After my very short experience here, I can say that I am pleased. They were direct and honest and were able to squeeze me in on the same day I called. For my problem, I only needed to change one tire, and I was ready to defend myself from any sales-​pitch on why I need 2 tires or an oil change or some other unnecessary labor. To my surprise, they never mentioned any additional services besides the one I came there for. Dan, the manager, was quick and direct. He started work at the exact start time he specified and finished in the time frame he gave me. The waiting area is small, but has free K-​Cup coffee (and honestly, if you’re choosing a mechanic based on their waiting area, you should probably let someone else handle your car repair finances). I would definitely come back here in the future for my future car repair needs.

I was able to get my car in for a gas line replacement quickly and it was done the same day. They kept my car inside over night because I couldn’t pick it up the day it was done. They were very affordable and fair. I picked my car up the next morning and they had it warming up in the garage when I arrived. They were friendly, fair and helpful. I’ll take the ’81 lincoln back there from now on. These guys are great!

I have to say I like the email quote process offered by Paulins Tire. I picked this location off of Forest as it was the most convenient.
I shopped for a pair of Continental DWS tires via TireRack and Sears. Even on with the tires on sale Sears racked up a lot of line item charges that blew past my budget, making a 450 – 500 set of tires cost $ 750.
After rescheduling my original appointment I showed up and was helped by Dan who appeared to be the desk manager. He put on the tires as well. It made a little longer appointment since there were a few front desk interruptions but the appointment is a plus overall
Paulin returned a quote within a couple of hour or so of my online request with a great offer, An «out-​the-​door» price. Everything included!
My observation is that shops seem to have favored brands sometimes, shifting with how many of a brand the shop clears in a season. Particular brands might result in better deals from shop to shop. Not an issue getting steered into anything with a prior quote.
I noticed Goodyear, Michelin, General and a few others at Paulins seems to be one of the few in the area featuring Continental. I simply wanted the one type/​run of tire. I’m not loyal to any brand.
Also, I noticed the shop was a big NAPA parts user in addition to tires. Nothing wrong with NAPA. My one frustration came from asking for a Synthetic Oil change with Mobil One Oil.
I don’t know if I was clear in stating that I had the oil with me the back of the car but I was not able to get a price, only a statement that they used NAPA synthetic because of the warranty. That is fine but I roll around on 20,000 miles to an oil change with confidence (drain testing my oil) and I just stick with what works for the BMW.
Overall a positive experience.

After shopping for tires at several tire shops in the area, I decided to contact Paulin’s since I’ve driven by their shop many times.
From their website I emailed them the tire I was looking for and what I was quoted by the other company. I was pleasantly surprised how quick they responded and it was actually Mark the owner that emailed me. Not only did their price come out a little better but they offered free lifetime flat repair.
When I dropped my vehicle off for the appointment at their Congress St location John was very pleasant and professional. The total price was exactly what I was originally quoted, no surprises!
It was an easy seamless process start to finish!
I will definitely bring my car back to them in the future and would highly recommend them to others!

This establishment is dishonest and not to be trusted. I went in to have some work done on my brakes, and asked to also have the tires rotated. They charged me $ 20 for the tire rotation that they did not do, which was obvious because I have one tire that is different than the others. I called them out on it. After it was done they informed me that I badly needed an oil change. I asked the price, and they said it was $ 20, plus a free tire rotation. I went home, frustrated. When I came back the next day I asked for a free oil change, because I had paid $ 20 for the tire rotation that they woudln’t have even done if I had not called them out on it. The person I dealt with acted like they were doing me a big favor by only charging me $ 10. All I wanted was good service at a fair price, and they took advantage of me every chance they could get. I drive an old. beat up car, and clearly do not have a lot of money. I would not recommend that you give them your business.
