My experience was just awesome. I love the food, especially the shrimp fritters, the people who work there, and how reasonable of a wait time there is.

I hear this place has great shrimp fritters. I was lucky enough to come through one day where I was looking for something healthy ish. The who worked there was really cool & let me try the chicken salad dish with lime. It’s amazing and incredibly flavorful! I got an order to go and have been back 5 times since then. Now I realize I should probably check into places from here on out. Apparently they were featured on food network so watch out Hollywood.

was going to make a payment on my bike across the street(its on lay-a-way cuz I’m ballin’ like that) and the owner had stepped out for a bit, lucky me, now was my chance to try the shrimp fritters I had seen on tv, before taking care of myself I had to get some water for the dog, well these guys got me all dialed in, gave me a dish and water for the dog… these dudes are cool as hell and know whats up, day was a little hot but nothing major, I got my fritters ordered, water to dog, shaved ice scored and back to get my order, done, across the street eating off of the hood of my truck, delicious! I don’t know what the juice is they give to you but I ended up bringing what was left home and just dipping pita bread into it, it was that gooooooood, definitely be back, might have to spread those bike payments out more just so I can try more stuff!

Fabulous food and from what I’ve seen online, authentic too. The flavors are fresh and the chicken salad is nice and spicy. Took us way too long to get here and now my husband wants to go everyday! The main dishes come with a lot of good and I highly recommend the cucumber salad. It is beautifully composed. Definitely a top cheap(high quality) food destination.

Hey, Portland! Do you like grilled chicken? Hell yeah, you do. How about ceviche marinades? Absolutely. What about fresh-off the griddle flatbreads? All day, every day. What if you could get grilled chicken, chopped up, chilled and marinaded ceviche style(post-grilling) in a spicy relish, tempered by hot, chewy, mildly sweet coconut milk flatbread? You’d be all over that, right? Enter the Kelaguen Mannok(that’s the chicken) with Titiyas(the flatbread). All this is available for $ 7.75 in the rockin’ Rose City Food Park on Sandy. Really, how could this possibly be anything less than five-star worthy? Logistical note, the cart is temporarily closed until August 4, while the proprietors are on a trip to Guam. Hafa Adai!

Cuisine from Guam. I mean really? I’ve eaten quite a few things in my time on this rock but I had to admit, this was a new one on me. I can’t imagine, well besides the people that live there, that too many of you out there have had this experience. I worked in New York City for many years and discovered food from many countries but never from Guam. Wow. And what a food experience it was, five stars worth. First off I’d never eaten anything from the food pod up on NE Sandy in the Rose City neighborhood. It’s only five blocks from the post office and by Laurelwood Tavern. There’s a wine and beer stop, Chinese(with actual egg drop soup), Thai, Vietnamese, Greek, a bacon cart and a hot dog cart. Then you’ve got PDX Six Seven One. Food from Guam. Basically chicken, rice, flatbread, shrimp or pork items. Being that I’d never had the food, I deferred to the guy running the place and he suggested the cold chicken salad called Kelaguen Mannok. It had chopped grilled chicken, green and yellow onions, grated coconut, chili peppers and lemon juice. I got it with flatbread called titiyas. He also gave me a side of some soy based sauce called Fina’denne’(soy, lemon, chilies and onion). The food was simply delicious and just perfect for a hot spring/summer type day. The chicken may have been grilled but it tasted like it came fresh off of a rotisserie. It wasn’t really spicy at all but the chilis and the onions along with the slivers of coconut all meshed together harmoniously. Just amazing and worth the trip for all of you Unilocalers out there, especially since most all of you have never tried food from Guam. Go eat some food from Guam, thank me later.

Just stop reading now and head over they before they close… I take a trip down to Portland just for this place… try everything at least once. You’ll never go back to any other island food… Everything on the menu is on point.

I drove here 2 hours again to try this place being I was in Portland on Saturday over the weekend and they were already closed by 5:30pm, so I came back. I arrived around 2:10pm, their website says nothing about spilt hours it just states 12pm-6pm. I ordered the fiesta plate which had a very small piece of chicken, a lot of red rice and 2 shrimp patties(fritters). One order of lumpia, 1 order of titiyas. They told me they ran out of chicken kelaguen, but had just a little bit left and charged me $ 3 for it and it did not come with titiyas, I paid for that separately. Unfortunately very disappointed, it had hair in it upon scooping it out with my fork from the dish and it was the last of it so I couldn’t ask for a new one, plus I was already back on the road by then. Fiesta plate: red rice was okay kind of bland, no taste. Bbq chicken thigh was very small. The«fritters» we’re okay, but not authentic. Lumpia: was very good & good portion size. Titiyas: were extremely flat and not aunthentic. Flour titiyas are usually more thicker and somewhat sweet to taste. The one at PDX671 was more like an over cooked/burnt spots flat tortilla Chicken kelaguen: again I did not get to try, due to hair in it and I paid for it. :( Fina’dene’: was very good. Cucumber salad: was scratched off the menu, which I was sad. I hope they add to their fiesta plate in the future. A real Guam fiesta plate should come with at least potato salad or cucumber salad, just some type of salad or other side dish. Overall, I will not go back again.

My husband and I saw this cart featured on a Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives that we unintentionally watched. While I can’t stand Guy Fieri, I love to see local restaurants and carts featured. We also had never been to this pod before and were excited to go somewhere and try something new. The guy manning the window was friendly and forgiving when I butchered the pronunciation of the dishes we wanted to order.(I did continue to practice them until I got them correct; I’ll do better next time!) The price is right as the two items we ordered were filling and just delicious. The shrimp fritters are fried to perfection. The crispy exterior is in wonderful stark contrast with the light, flavorful interior. You can taste all of the individual elements– corn, shrimp, peas, etc– all in a tasty little bundle. The garlic dipping sauce is a nice, tangy addition. We also got the Kelaguen Mannok with Titiyas and there is so much flavor, I can hardly stand typing about it… I love how bright the citrus flavor is. The use of chicken thigh meat is the perfect complement. They use the chili peppers to execute the perfect spice level. I am not a huge fan of chicken dishes but this one stole my heart! I would love to try other menu items but I think I’ll have a hard time ordering anything other than the Kelaguen Mannok!

Never had guam food before. The dish with cold diced chicken was delicious. Had a nice smokey flavor. Guy working there was superfriendly. I would definitely eat here again. Maybe not the life changing experience the guy said it would be, but delicious nonetheless.

I stumbled upon this food cart on my way to the airport. I was very intrigued as I never had Guam food before. I wanted to try the fiesta plate but they were out and no more red rice. They recommended I tried the kelaguen mannok(Guam style chicken salad) with the freshly baked bread. Man, that dish was amazing. Chicken had a smoky flavor and all the spices together made the dish fresh and delicious. My boyfriend had a bite and he enjoyed it so much that I had to fight him off my plate! I would definitely come back!

Word on the street is that kelaguen mannok with titiyas is where it’s at. Unfortunately, they were out of the dish when I visited. Although I was disappointed, I was glad I had a chance to try some of their other fare. The fiesta plate includes grilled chicken, red rice, shrimp fritters, and ensaladan kiukuma for $ 7.25. The price is very reasonable for the portion. The chicken was marinated well and had nice, grilled, crispy skin. The red rice was a bit bland. The shrimp fritters had good texture and were fried crisp. The shrimp was contrasted with the sweetness of the carrots, peas, and corn. The ensaladan kiukuma was refreshing with just the right amount of spice. It’s a type of cucumber salad with kimchee dressing. An order of 3 lumpia ran $ 5.25. Again, a reasonable price since they were medium-sized. They were wrapped perfectly with just the right ingredients. Garlic sauce is included as a dip but it could use some spice. The cart offers reasonably priced food and you can easily be fed for under $ 10. Bonus points for serving King Car iced tea.

A friend of mine saw the cart on a food blog and suggested I try it since I’m currently in the area. The food was definitely good but I wasn’t terribly impressed. I’ve also never had food from Guam before either though so maybe my taste buds were a bit off. I tried the fiesta plate and have to say the best part of the meal was by far the sauce. The chicken was great and cooked perfectly, and with that tangy slightly sweet sauce it was an incredible combination. As for the rest however, eh. The fritter was dry and pretty tasteless and the rice was even worse. If I end up coming back here I’d definitely get the chicken again but would skip the plate to try something with more flavor.
