Chef Steven Ferneding has recently returned to the Portland area after spending the last 6 years abroad cooking for the worlds rich and famous. He would love to come to your home and prepare the finest meals for you and your family. His focus is fresh, clean and healthy cuisine but is eager to develop a menu which suits your dietary needs

After graduating with honors from Le Cordon Blue, he was given the opportunity to work on private yachts in the Bahamas. For the next five years he cooked for the worlds rich and famous on the most prestigious yachts and homes all over the world. He is known in the yachting community as being a healthy gourmet chef and is an encouragement for other chefs in the industry.

For the past year and a half Steven was fortunate enough to embark on a culinary exploration through India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, and Japan. While living in each of these amazing countries he had the opportunity to study Indian and S.E. Asian cuisines while working along side local chefs. Together they tested new recipes, and exchanged culinary techniques. Steven was also able to participate in cooking classes, as well as prepare and cook in kitchens which served tourist and locals. The knowledge he gained through his culinary journey is irreplaceable and more valuable than he could’ve imagined.
