Love this store! After years of being annoyed with Rite Aid up the street I decided to transfer my prescription here and it is so much better. I also love the rest of the store with lots of great holistic items. My one complaint would be that they are a little expensive, but their email subscription sends out a lot of coupons, so I usually save my shopping in the rest of the store for when I have a coupon.

As a customer I am always greeted from the moment I walk thru the door and I always receive undivided attention from any one of the the excellent pharmacists. I work in a medical office and deal with pharmacies all day long, Pharmaca by far exceeds the level of professionalism and experience than any other corporate owned pharmacy. Know your generic medication manufacturers. Many big name pharmacies choose cost over quality and in turn their generic medications are not as effective as others.

This location is conveniently located next to a Market of Choice and Mud Bay which takes care of most my shopping. I will absolutely be back.

I’m on a fixed social security income. Pharmaca contracts with my Medicare Advantage Healthnet Insurance. On Friday the 26^th of Feb 2016 I took a compound prescription to be filled at this specialty pharmacy. After filling the perscription the person at Pharmaca told me that they did not contract with Healthnet and that I would have to pay the full retail price. The total came to $ 29.99. This was 6 days before my social security payment. I didn’t have the money to pay for the prescription so I had to ask a person from my church to cover the cost for me. That same day I called my Medicare Advantage Part D insurance. After some investigation we discovered that Pharmaca did in fact run the claim and it was paid by my insurance. they paid out the contracted amount for the prescription and I was left with a copay of $ 2.95. This I could have paid. What I was told next shocked me unbelievably. Pharmaca after processing the claim then backed out of the transaction and reversed the claim. In otherwords they rejected what was going to be paid and lied to me telling me that they were no longer contracted with Healthnet and I needed to pay the full retail price. I questioned my insurance company and said how can they do that. The insurance company said that it happens quite often. If a pharmacy doesn’t like the amount that they are going to get paid as per contract then they will commonly revers the claim and tell the customer that it is not covered so that they can get the full retail amount. This is not illegal but it is horribly dishonest. I know several people that are on a medicare or a medicare advantage insurance and often times when they are told that a particular medication is not covered they either go without or will forgo paying another bill to purchase the medication.
People need to know that this is happening.
If you are on medicare or a pharmacy ever tells you that a medication is not covered make certain by calling your insurance company and asking if the claim was ran and then reversed. Pharmacy’s and pharmaceutical companies already make billions of dollars off the sick. To add lying to them about a drug not being covered so that they can get paid retail vs the contracted amount is beyond horrible and greedy.

Such a great experience every time. Can’t believe what I put up with before changing to Pharmaca.

When I discovered Pharmaca prices were the same as other pharmacies, I transferred all family prescriptions to this pharmacy. Paula is the pharmacist I see the most and is very helpful with questions. And you see the pharmacist when you go to the pharmacy, not a frantically busy pharmacy tech. You can get a text reminder when it’s time to refill which is extremely handy. There are fun products here– a lot of different soaps that smell delicious. I like you can get a small bar for about $ 1.50. There are also lots of natural products. Again, the pharmacist and other staff are very helpful with any product inquiries.

Nice place. It is small and higher end, but they are very helpful and nail out great coupons!

Came with a Groupon, left with a sense of satisfaction. Clean storefront and the nicest customer service. Would definitely come back.

I didn’t even know this place was here but when I couldn’t find what I needed at the Market of Choice next door, on my way out I noticed Pharmaca and decided to test my luck.
I was immediately approached by Cynthia who was very sweet and sympathetic to my embarrassing issue that needed the right treatment. I had tried multiple other remedies that just didn’t work. She listened and made lots of recommendations and even got another woman’s opinion, I believe her name was Aleesia (sorry if spelling is wrong) and the pharmacist, Paula, to see what she felt was the most effective product. All three of them were so attentive and sweet.
I finally chose an item and have been using it for several days and it works wonders!
Make sure these employees are taken care of. Because of them, I will only come here for my future needs. Thank you ladies!

One of my worst customer service experiences. I went in wanting help to find a new homeopathic medicine, some lip conditioners and DHEA. There was one clerk waiting on one person. I stood and waited. I gave up and tried to find the advertised expert consultant for a homeopathic remedy. The pharmacist got on the phone and stayed on it. Discouraged, I looked for DHEA and couldn’t find it on my own. Meanwhile the clerk is done, but doesn’t walk the short space over to me. She waits on a woman who just walked through the door. I won’t be returning.
Previously I had been to the Scholls Ferry location and been treated great.

Beautiful store design. Lots of specials during opening weekend.
This shopping center is opening well designed places to shop.
