The Phoenix Studio is a full service art glass studio. We provide professional, courteous assistance with your home improvement or window restoration projects and excel in adding custom designed stained glass elements to any space. We can properly repair or restore your current stained glass in your home, workplace, or place of worship.

We also offer beginner and intermediate/​advanced classes in the copper foil (Tiffany) method, glass fusing, sandblasting, and more!

History

Established in 1976.

The Phoenix Studio was established in the Mariners Church above the Old Port Tavern, during the revival of the Old Port area of Portland, ME in 1976. After a fire broke out in a first-​story business, the studio was lost. After relocating to the base of Munjoy Hill, a car parked in an alley caught fire, which again claimed the studio. We are now located at 630 Forest Ave in the historic Woodfords section of Portland. We have been fire free since 1988.

We are a family owned and operated business, now, with two generations of experience. Together the studio has over 100 years experience creating and restoring fine art glass.

Business Owner

Jane has owned Phoenix Studio since 1988. In 2016, we will celebrate Phoenix’s 40^th continuous year in business! Jane and her husband have run the business since their purchase in 1988. Nathaniel Croteau is General Manager and has been actively involved since 2002.
