Pioneer Chiropractic and Wellness’ primary goal is to help people heal so that they can live healthier, happier lives. We address both the causes and symptoms of each individual patient’s problems. Our treatment is custom-​designed for each patient and can consist of chiropractic adjustments, deep tissue massage, stretching, and exercise training. The treatment will remove imbalances and pain, but will also help patients increase their overall health.

History

Established in 2011.

Dr. McBride started in the Downtown Portland area to help deliver quality care to people who work downtown or pass through downtown. With patient focused care, the practice continues to grow every day. Patient focused to us is making sure each patient gets the attention they need, with out feeling rushed. Also, patient focused care treats the cause of the pain as well as the symptoms. Sometimes that requires care in other places beyond what is hurting.

Dr. Nicholas M.

Business Owner

Dr. McBride received his doctorate in chiropractic from the award winning University of Western States. At Western States, Dr. McBride was taught the most current techniques and research by several of the Northwest’s best doctors in chiropractic. His education combined traditional thought with today’s latest research. Along with this knowledge, Dr. McBride has spent countless hours perfecting and expanding his treatment skills. All of this results in better care and better results for patients.

Dr. McBride is a very outgoing person who enjoys all the Pacific Northwest has to offer from snowboarding to hiking, biking, and berry picking on Sauvie Island. Throughout his life he has had his own fair share of injuries and used those experiences to help with patient care. Dr. Nick Mcbride is a great chiropractor that genuinely cares about his patients and their health. Not only does he give you an adjustment but he takes the time to tell you what is going on with your body and how his treatment will help. I have ribs that are really pesky to adjust and he adjusts them back in every time and does muscle work afterwards which is very helpful when your back is not too happy with you! Love seeing his beagle Kane every time too as i have a little beagle at home.

He took the time get to know me as a person, not just a patient. And then got me back together. The day after my back feels so much better.
Usually I dread going back to the doctor’s office, but I’ll look forward to future treatments. And especially seeing «Kane», the most chill beagle I’ve ever been around.

Immediately after leaving Pioneer Chiropractic after my initial adjustment, I felt 100x better and more comfortable. The office was clean, inviting, and professional — with a great little furry friend to greet me patiently at the door. I have seen Dr. Mcbride for the past 2 years as needed. I havent needed too many visits as I am in pretty good shape. So this review will help those that don’t necessarily think a chiropractor can help them because they just have occasional issues such as back pain, etc. But I can attest that it is SO worth trying a chiropractor, especially if you are athletic as that is the main reason I have seen Dr. Mcbride.
I recently took a dance class and afterwards felt a sharp pain in my back that wasn’t going away. I thought at first it was just muscle pain and that it would eventually get better but after almost 2 days I called Dr. Mcbride and made an appointment, turns out I had a rib out of place and once he aligned (very easy and audible pop) I felt 90% better! I can actually take a deep breath without being in pain. So now I’ve just got to work out the muscle/​soreness that is left from doing a highly vigorous workout!
I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Mcbride, very thorough and only works on what your symptoms are within his scope of practice. He will give you tips and exercises to do based on your individual needs. I will continue to see Dr. Mcbride and only him for my chiropractic needs.

Dr Nick is the best!
He listens, he answers my questions thoughtfully and his manner is both warm and professional. He is able to diagnose and adjust me within minutes, every visit. Treatment is moving me towards being completely pain-​free. I feel great after every session. I highly recommend Dr Nick for a right good crackin’. He rocks.

Nick was a great help to me after my car accident. In fact, due to his good advice, I was in there the day of the accident which allowed him to really get ahead on my healing process. Dr. McBride is a good choice if you want to know what is going on. He explains everything he notices during treatment and what he is doing about it. His treatment resolved my problem. He does not try to keep you coming for more treatments you don’t need once your problems are resolved.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Nick, and Pioneer Chiropractic. I threw my back out and spent the next six weeks going in and out of medical doctors, acupuncturists, and massage therapists offices trying to get myself together again. Finally I gave Pioneer a call and got in. FIrst thing I noticed was the cleanliness of the office, and the genuine kindness and honesty of Dr NIck. He spent a good amount of timing checking out all of my joints and reflexes and talked me through why he was doing everything he was doing and what it was he was doing (which none of the other three doctors I had seen had done). He then told me what was going on and how he could fix it and what I could do to prevent it from happening again. (My hip was out of place. My medical doctor said I had a muscle strain, and my other doctors said I had muscle anxiety). The most notable thing dr nick said was that he cared about getting me well enough that i would not have to come back.
I highly suggest Pioneer Chiropractic and Dr. Nick if you are in pain and dont know where else to turn. He is courteous, honest, thorough, thoughtful and professional. Dont wait like i did. It took me six weeks of chronic pain and agony and it only took Dr. Nick 15 mins to fix me. Check out this office, take my word on it.
