Wow! I have never been so judged in my life as when I met with a woman from this organization yesterday for assistance. Gloria A) could not remember my face or who I was from the day before when I stopped in at the recommendation of a doctors office, B) to be judged by her for the way I make money (sorry I suck dicks for a living), C) for her to tell me I do not qualify and wasting her time, and D) said «I don’t care if you like this place or not, you are not the first or the last»! What a great way to be a representative for an organization that is meant to service the community. I know from when I was in graduate school for psychology, anyone working in the social services are sworn by Ethics! Haha Gloria must have failed this course or had someone else take the class for her. For the Ethics Code 3.01, Unfair Discrimination, which is where in psychology it is outline that psychologist or those working in this field do not discriminate based on age, gender, gender identity, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, socioeconomic status or any basis proscribed by law!!! Do not go here!!! This woman is a representative of this organization that is suppose to follow these Ethics. As a representative it means this organization trusts her. Well she cannot follow the ethical rules laid out by the American Psychological Association. Do not support a place who gets there funding from the government yet cannot practice the rules established by Ethical Code which is the back bone of the psychology field and CAP/​Pivot is a organization based on serving others should be practicing Ethics as well!!! Thanks Gloria for opening my eyes and showing me to never support your organization! I just recently found at a doctors office an advertisement from this organization from the same timeframe I was going to get some help. This picture proves more to me that Gloria has NO ROLE in social services and Pivot/​CAP are useless in helping others in the community for they judge their clients!!!

This facility began as a Gay men’s health center. Now it’s focused on transgendered services. Gay men, especially middle aged, have no specific services. I will never raise money for Cascade Aids Project again

Get there early for the free testing and prepare for a long wait as it appears to get booked up pretty fast. Check their schedule online as testing available differs based on the day of the week. Friendly staff and lots of freebies/​informational resources.
The waiting area is comfortable and you can watch movies, play games or read a magazine (I still need to finish watching BlackFish).

I appreciate the resource to get tested and the internet access to look for jobs. etc. I appreciate there is a «hang out» area. I appreciate their hours being 3 – 9 four days out of the week. What I do not appreciate is the staff being Cl-​icky and appearing to be sold out on what gay is. This is not a sold out show, gay is for everyone. I am one that does not need a gay flag that is the very embodiment of separatism that I and so many others fought against in the mainstream and non commercial society. I am one that believes that flags separate just as the rebel flag did. I would appreciate the front staff being more like someone I had to pull aside to speak with. Excuse me if I seem a little rough about this, but they are there for US also. It would be nice if the staff, especially that work in the front, would shut up and listen. So please remember that you have to deal with a few people to get to a good one here. If you do not get someone that is listening to your needs, ask for someone else to speak to. Get past them and you are gold!

I can’t rave enough about how wonderful my experience was here. It was quick, informative, personable, kind and most of all understanding.
I highly recommend any LGBTQ family member come here to get tested or treated, or if you’re in need of some good ol lube+condoms for sexy times they definitely have enough for you to fill your side-​pack with. Mad props for putting Paris Is Burning on the huge flat screen t.v. and for the free wifi. Oh and the free snacks to munch on didn’t hurt either :)

Pivot is a great place to get tested for STD’s, HIV. As well as find resources for the lgbtq community … stop by and keep yourself safe.
