Postal Works

There will be no reason to go the the post office anymore, after you come here. They treat their customers the way every business should. Postal works is fast, easy, and costs the same as the post office but it’s bright, and the workers are friendly and treat you with the best service! They will help you pick packaging, and they can even pack up your shipment for you. Not to mention there is a wonderful selection of last minute cards, gifts, chocolates and candies, and I think they also offer espresso. I’ve never been disappointed with the quality of service here!

Can you say, «fast and easy» as fast as I walked in and out of there to send my package? I’m in awe at how convenient, affordable, awesome, and not to mention how cute this place is. The last place I went to send a package like the one I sent today charged me nearly $ 20 for something that cost me almost $ 6 here. I will absolutely be back for all my online shopping returns, and believe you me… It’s a lot

I needed to send some fragile items and decided to skip the creepy little post office down the road and try this location’s shipping services.
I’m very glad I did! The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and the place was chock full of cute stuff.
All of my shipment recipients specifically told me how immaculate the wrapping and packaging job was, so they really know what they’re doing with your breakable objects.

This past holiday season, I needed to ship out some gifts to family in Texas. I stopped by a post office and saw a long line that was snaking across the lobby. The post office also had a sign on the door that read that you could only buy up to three boxes and if you needed more, you had to buy them online. Just then, I luckily remembered Postal Works and decided to go there instead.
Here’s where the differences start.…
People at the post office: Standing around in long lines just waiting for service.
Me: I walked into Postal Works and there was just one person ahead of me. He was almost done, so I didn’t wait long at all.
People at the post office: Bored and looking at nothing.
Me: In an adorable shop that had loads of Christmas gifties to look at. Don’t worry now that the holidays are over. They carry things for all holidays as well as some all-​occasion decorations.
People in the post office: I doubt they could have had such friendly service.
Me: Helped out by a lady who clearly likes where she works and was happy to help out.
People at the post office: no refreshments. Not even an offer of refreshments.
Me: I was offered coffee or snacks by the nice employees. I know they always have a little complimentary coffee area, but during holiday season, they also had popcorn, candies, candy canes, chocolates, a whole little snack area in case you want some. I was done pretty quickly and didn’t have time to grab any of the snacks or coffee, but it’s lovely that it’s even an option.
People at the post office: check in on Unilocal and nothing happens.
Me: check in on Unilocal and get a discount offer. Plus, the nice worker lady gave me a little card so that I could get a discount the next time I went in.
It’s a no brainer. If you live on this side of town (even if you don’t), Postal Works is the only place you should be doing any sort of shipping. Also, there were no delays, no hassles, nothing. The packages arrived in Texas in time.

For reasons nobody seems to be able to articulate, there are no regular post offices within about a million miles of this area of Hillsboro— perhaps the gov’t planners wanted no part of the daily traffic snarls associated w/​this particular real estate. Whatever the reason (s), it laid wide open the possibility of anyone with any vision or entrepreneurial gusto to swoop in set up shop.
Biggups to Postal Works for you and your accessibility. This is a store that’s part old school Hallmark with all the trinketry, and part old school pharmacy— all it needs on the counter is a soda fountain and a soda jerk proper, attending.
This place is even open later than government post office, so bonus points for that as well. In sum: bully for the hearts and minds behind Postal Works! We’re loving it!

I’ve shipped over a dozen times here, small packages to family and friends that don’t need anything more than delivery confirmation. A lot of random goods, some tasty treats, and coffee! I always look around a bit, sometimes there’s a good deal on seasonal goodies that can adorn my house. Always been helped when I come in and given good service.
Only bad side is sometimes I ask for delivery confirmation and notice when I get home there is nothing on the ticket, so always make sure it’s there before you walk out.

While this business is super convenient for me (right across the street from my place of residence) I’d rather drive into Hillsboro and use that post office unless I absolutely can’t. I’ve used Postal Works twice now and was not impressed. The first time the staff was to busy flirting with a gentleman who had come in to be bothered to help me. After standing at the counter for a while someone finally came to help me and they seemed very inexperienced. The second time I used them all the staff was either MIA or behind the wall in the coffee shop section, so again I had a long wait.
The shop itself can’t seem to decide if it’s a coffee shop, a tacky gift shop, or a postal shop. I’ll use it in a pinch but I’d really rather not.

Very friendly staff and a nice array of services (including notary service, which is why I visited). They have a small section of the store devoted to the OSU Beavers and that snot-​colored school to the south. There was a lot of random stuff inside the store… it reminded me of a cross between Hallmark and the christmas tree store.
Actually, I suppose the best description would be what you expect a hoarder’s garage sale to look like but with a much better layout and people who are quite a bit easier to talk to.

Pros: Staff is very helpful
Cons: Cannot get insurance on flat rate boxes or shipping to the UK. Go here if you are shipping items without any monetary value otherwise you will need to find somewhere else to go

They really go above and beyond to help you meet your shipping and receiving needs! The staff is friendly and accepting, and they work hard to help you out, even after they’ve received payment from you.
They do a great job, and are very helpful.

This place is great. Beaverton has surprisingly few post offices. I use Postal Works for all of my mailing needs. The ladies that work there are very nice and SUPER helpful. They help to package items appropriately, and always provide all of my shipping options. I have used them to fax, notarize, and make copies too.

Good place to for shipping items out locally if one is not willing to drive to the post office. Always have shipping supplies that are needed. The staff is friendly and professional.
There is a 10% premium on purchasing stamps so it’s more cost effective to purchase stamps at Costco or at the US Post Office than here, but if only couple of stamps are need to mail something the 10% premium isn’t too bad. Basically the same price one would pay when purchasing stamps from the bank.
Over all this place is good for shipping out the occasional item. On a positive note they also have a coffee shop inside. Two birds with one stone, as violent as that sounds, at the Postal Works.

I love this place. For mailing anything you could dream, it is great. They also copy keys with cheaper rates than Fred Meyer!
Their gift items can be on the spendy side, but they get great seasonal stuff in for each holiday, and then have awesome discount sales on leftover merch when the holiday is over! For example today they have a table set up outside with Halloween and Christmas items at 50% off, and sales like this seem to happen pretty frequently here!

GO. HERE. I really needn’t say more, but for persuasion’s sake, I will.
No one enjoys dealing with the postal service, but these people make it a breeze. Every single employee is positively brimming with an optimistic attitude and eagerness to help. They know all there is to know about mail, and they will get it (whatever «it» is) wherever it needs to go as fast and for as cheap as possible (they are certified to ship UPS, FedEx, DHL and USPS, as well as freight). I have brought in everything from grocery bags of clothes to a large comforter and sheet set to the smallest envelope, and the kind folks at Postal Works are consistently ready to assist me in preparing, packaging and sending my goods. No matter how unintelligent I manage to come across (and this is quiet often astoundingly dumb), they are cheerful and patient.
Not only will these people mail anything and everything on the face of the Earth (and do it with a smile, no less), they offer a range of box sizes, envelopes and packing materials, as well as greeting cards, wrapping paper and supplies, local chocolates, sweets, spice mixes, jams and a large assortment of knicknacks, from wind chimes to stuffed animals. Postal Works also offers faxing, copying and other printing services. There’s even a small walk-​up coffee window, which I have never been to, myself, but I do notice that the «drink of the day» changes on schedule.
The last experience I had here, I had to overnight a check from the west to the east coast. When the recipient claimed not to have gotten it a week later, and I had lost my tracking number, I began to worry that my check was floating somewhere out there in space. Of course, I was nervous and embarrassed about my mistake, but with a few clicks the young man behind the counter pulled up my information and was able to tell me exactly when and where the package had been delivered (on time, of course) and even provided me with Fed Ex’s phone number in case I should need to get in touch with them.
Ultimately, this offers most of the services you’d find at any Kinko’s, but on a much more personal level and from employees who genuinely care. I’d never take my mail anywhere else.
