I have been caring for animals all my life but as a business with clients, since 2009. When I was a young girl growing up in the harsh winters of Illinois, I would make boxes filled with blankets and feed all the stray animals. I’d spend hours outside trying to get them to come close enough for me to give them a pet or a kiss, I thought all of them needed attention and that they were outside because nobody loved them. I grew up with cats, dogs, birds, hamsters, fish and mice but as an adult I’ve owned 2 cats, both 15 years old. In January of 2014, I lost one of them to cancer, her name was Pumpkin which was the reason I decided to name this business after her. She was special like all the animals we have in our lives. It’s an unconditional love, a remarkable bond that should not be taken for granted.
