Our experience with our salesman was seamless, pleasant and entirely what we would expect. He was patient, informative and we felt that we was an advocate for us vs just another customer to him.

I have bought 3 trucks from Quirk Portland. Always professional and got a decent deal. Josh, my last salesman, was great. He offered to pick up my truck as he lives in my town when I need service.
Busy service department so plan on being there a few hours if you need service. Free wifi and coffee there.
They strive for excellence and want to know about it if you aren’t happy. Instead of coming here to complain, start with the dealership. I think they would make it right for you.

HHR wouldn’t start, switch recall had not been performed yet. It was towed in, and when I checked mid-​day, I was told the new switch probably wasn’t going to fix the issue, and there would be a $ 120 diag. fee to continue repairs. I declined, and 2 hours later I was informed that the switch did fix the issue. I am hoping the $ 120 diag. fee wouldn’t have been charged if I had agreed to it. Also, such fees are ridiculous when my local garage will diagnose for free. Finally, where’s my $ 25 gift card for having the recall done?

Not honest
Brought my truck in for an electrical issue. They fixed it easily but then informed me my brakes were in need of replacing. Front brakes in tough shape which I knew. They said rear brakes needed to be completely replaced too, refinish drums and replace pads. They even provided me a condition report of the brakes. I did not really have the time to sit and wait for a brake job so said i would come back. As a matter of practice I brought the truck someplace else for a second opinion. The new place said front brakes were bad but rear brakes had 75% life left. I contested it and showed them the dealer report and the mechanic told me no way, your rear brakes have 75% life left on them,” I can not in good conscience tell you they need to be replaced. «
Funny, during my time in the waiting room I heard the service manager giving some woman the pitch that they don’t want to do anything that is un-​necessary to her vehicle b/​c thats the type of people they are… right.
I wish I had bothered to go to Unilocal first and see all these reviews, I could have saved myself some hassle.

Typical car salesman & place.
Wanted: to test drive Automatic lowest model car (Aveo or Cobolt).
Instead got:
–test drive a 5-​speed no AC
–a salesman who’s very pushy & impatient
–a salesman who does not listen to their customers
–a salesman who loves to text; rather than to call you to see what the deal is, he’ll constantly text your cell.
–never got the chance to test drive the vehicle I wanted (what if I had the $$ to spend?)
–a salesman who criticizes you about your budget and it not being idealistic
Recommendation: Never go back or deal with this place again. Instead, the services at Rowe in Westbrook were awesome! Read my review for that place.
