Specialties
Great food and drink priced right and happily served to the most diverse patronage in Portland. From relaxed foodies, dive bar aficionados, and artists of all kinds, to welders, longshoremen, bankers, bakers, writers, musicians, community organizers, the well-to-do, the out-of-work, blue collar, white collar or no collar… all are welcome and will find their rightful place among the beautiful mess that is Radio Room.
History
Established in 2008.
The Radio Room building is a recycled 1949 Texaco Station that was originally built during the aftermath of the tragic Vanport flood. But dont be fooled by the fact that the original structure remains intact. The addition of the lounge and rooftop patio transformed the dilapidated building into what is rapidly becoming a neighborhood institution that attracts a wildly diverse collection of neighbors and friends.
Radio Room is owned by two lifelong friends and close-in east-side Portlanders, one who lived in the Alberta neighborhood as a kid and the other who now lives just a few blocks away. The two native Oregonians set out to transform the old gas station into a neighborhood eatery and lounge that would attract and reflect the creativity and diversity of the Alberta neighborhood. From young families to late-night revelers, everyone can find a place at Radio Room.

One star hurts,
Two stars sting,
Three stars is OK,
But fours stars is a very, very good thing.
Five stars? Well, that just makes my day :)
