Red’s Electric Company

I’ve used Red’s Electric for various jobs in our home since 1998. Their electricians have always been skilled, professional, easy to work with, and on time. Bills have never exceeded the estimates. They’ve steered me away from unnecessary work and suggested ways to increase safety (like a whole house surge protector). Red’s is a gem of a company and I highly recommend them.

There are alot of electrical outfits out there to choose from so why choose one that does not take any pride in thier work. I bought a house and Reds did alot of the electrical work for the past remodel. I seriously have to say they did a half arse job.

Getting an electrician… no big deal, unless the power in half your home just… stopped working!
They got here on time, took about 3 hours. The Red’s electricians were fast and seemed quite familiar with home electrical systems. Very friendly, professional. Kept me up to date with every «discovery» found.
This being an older rental house, we knew our situation might be involved. It took the Red’s team a few attempts, but they got it solved.
I think it is cool that they always stayed positive and never passed the problem on to us. That’s why these Red’s electricians are cool!
Soon, we had power again, in ALL of our house!

Thank you, Al! I have never ever NOT had to clean up, vacuum, etc. after having a service technician in my home. You are the first! After putting in three outdoor outlets in our manufactured home, cutting drywall, pulling lines, etc etc. there was nothing for me to clean up! Highly recommend this company and ask for Al. He knows EVERYTHING about electricity, etc. and hey, I didn’t even have to supervise him while he worked, ROFL!

Red’s electric is amazing! I contacted Red’s in September of 2014 when I was starting construction on my new retail space in downtown Portland. I was opening a bridal shop so nothing was more important than lighting and mirrors to make our merchandise look amazing! Jim, the owner was quick to answer emails and met us at the location several times to ensure we were getting exactly what we wanted and needed. He knows his lighting and was able to suggest options to us to avoid shadowing on our customers which I really appreciated! He also had many other suggestions such as motion sensors for our fitting rooms which have worked out great! The electricians that were sent out to do the work on our space were very friendly and trustworthy. We could always count on them being there exactly when they promised. Thank you so much to Red’s electric!

They are great with customer service. They were on time to the appointment and told me exactly what I needed. I just wish electrical work didn’t cost so much to fix. The guy took 10 minutes figuring out what was wrong, an hour to go and get the part, and 10 minutes fixing the sensor in my flood light. $ 300. Ouch. I don’t think it would’ve been cheaper anywhere else though. I will call them again.

Called for an appointment and Rhonda suggested that we try a couple of things to be sure we needed the electrician. Although we thought we had done both, I tried again on her advice and it solved the problem. THANK YOU Rhonda for your professionalism and integrity. You saved us a visit this time. We will definitely call you in future!

Awesome! They were able to come same day and I am not sure if I can write names, so I won’t, but my service guy went way above and beyond any expectations I could’ve ever possibly imagined. I will definitely be a repeat customer and if anyone asks me who I might recommend for service, Red’s will be sung praises by me. Thank you again so much for your help, you are/​were a life saver in the least!

Used these guys over 12 years ago and had a great experience and just recently tried to get them to do a bid and after 3 broken promises and a week of waiting to call and or bid on a job I am thinking maybe times have changed as even with four reminders-​Nothing!

Red’s Electric is my first call for electrical needs. Jim Ferris and the members of his team are top notch. They are timely, customer focused and have a good body of knowledge about new technology including LED. I have used them as a first call in my interior design business for new construction, remodeling, and for changing out lighting and installing floor plugs.

Really, a great company. I called them with an outlet issue (turned out to be more serious than that). Got an original estimate of almost $ 1500, but didn’t have much of a choice and followed through with the project. The next day their electrician Dan showed up, and was able to maneuver around some tough obstacles and saved me almost $ 900! Apparently this is an uncommon occurrence, but I was thankful none the less and will certainly be calling them with my future electrical needs.

VERY impressed with them! We have an old house, so, old wiring system. We blew a big fuse and these guys were great. Couldn’t figure it out the first day, so they only charged us for the first hour, and bought back 2 guys the next day. They were so great, very friendly, and super professional. They fixed our problem and answered all my questions! I highly recommend them to anybody, especially if you have an older home!

Same day service? Even better, how about same hour service!
After several outlets in my Living Room stopped working last night, and my limited electrical knowledge not fixing it I called Red’s. Elena was quick to offer some self-​repair tips while she looked into scheduling. She promised a call back within 20 minutes and delivered. Not only with the call, but with sending someone out immediately. 20 minutes later Shay was at my door. All smiles and full of expertise he wasted no time examining the situation. He had it scoped out and diagnosed 15 minutes later. Repaired and all cleaned up shortly after that.
Red’s shocked me with their service! Give em a call for all your power needs!

Just had Trevis from Red’s Electric out to move an outlet, install two new outlets and move an overhead light. He was in/​out in two hours and all over the house, from the attic to the basement. Friendly, quick, efficient, clean. The only «hiccup» was they arrived an hour after they were supposed to, but having scheduled other home repair service calls (dishwasher, etc), I know it’s a pretty common practice to do real time scheduling, so whoever is available is who does the job. I wasn’t put off by this as a result, but i realize others might be. I would highly recommend Red’s and will call them the next time I need electrical work. Bonus: he never turned off any circuits while doing the work!
