This place is on my way home, and one very hot summer day when Sandy was a parking lot and the heat rolling off my motorcycle engine made it impossible to continue, I pulled over to duck in and cool off. This was about 3:30 or 4:00 p.m. The atmosphere was chill and low-​key, a bunch of regulars just kicking back watching TV or playing pool. I got a soda and an ice water and sat right under the A/​C. The server was kind and friendly, and I felt like it was pretty decent for a dive bar.
Unfortunately as the afternoon turned to evening, a much sketchier crowd started showing up, obviously regulars by how everyone greeted each other. Here I am a total stranger, and they’re not shy about discussing in my presence how much money might change hands for… um… certain acts… if folks were to get drunk enough (or, by the smell in the air, stoned enough). Sandy was still a parking lot, but I got on out of there and won’t be back.

The owner is a creeper and the place is meth town USA, they even take food from a food a non profit food bank and give out to their customers, wow., they take the food from kids mouths and hand it out to smokers and aloholics that work… So sad. Avoid at all costs. No morals.

And I DO LOVE N.E. Portland!
Not a culinary heaven, (the most expensive item costing 2 dollars).
Which is fine by me since I’m seeking a midnight snack normally anyway. The only micro brew being Hefeweissen is more than made up for by the dollar pints of Bush (in this economy especially)…
Pool tables, a jukebox (that carries very little that I like), and video crack (that is never unused) do nothing for me.
What I do like is the staff and the other customers. They make it feel like a second home…

Just your regular video poker dive bar. Plenty of regulars here to keep it afloat but my only reasons for stopping by would be 25 cent pool and $ 2.75 Widmers hefs. The only other beer options are Bud, Coors, Bosch, PBR and maybe Miller? I can’t remember. My boyfriend was thrilled that they played two Led Zeppelin songs in a row but never the less we moved on after one beer.
