Will now and forever be taking my business else where. This was the worst experience yet. Literally was being followed by the security all because I set me basket down to take hangers off the clothes so it fit in my basket since I decided not to use a cart. Then was still stalked by the security, that it made me feel extremely uncomfortable, so uncomfortable I decided to go finish my shopping out at the Ross at the airport which is a bit far for me but the only other closer one to my house. I understand needing high security during the holidays, but this experience just made it extremely awkward and was made to feel as though I was doing something wrong when i was doing nothing wrong, only out for xmas shopping. But this isn’t the first time security has acted this was here. I’d rather go else where as well as tell my hotel guests to shop else where since its uncomfortable shopping here at this location.

Ross– please take the time to review the Unilocal for this location. It shows that the conditions on Nov 28th are not a fluke but a pattern. The store was a mess with products broken on the displays, clothing not in size order and on the floor, dirty stained floors and staff looking down walking right pass messes with no eye contact, sense of urgency or care a customer is in sight. The guest traffic in the store was very very low and there was a large amount of bored and upset blue shirt staff members moseying around– no excuse for the condition of the store. Now walk across the center to TJ Maxx and the store looks like gold– very clean, much busier(actual lines at checkout) and surprisingly some of the same products as your store for more money yet people are buying them at TJ. What does this mean? It means the community knows how horrible your store is and won’t return.

I guess I’m just used to living in S California but the stores out here seem to have very low selection of clothing

Always the best prices. Found a 7 jeans in my size for $ 21.99. Unbelievable!

Ross is bad, and this one is the worst I’ve been in. There was nothing worthwhile in the entire store, and everything was in total chaos. Clothes on the floor, dirty, it was awful. I was shocked because the store from the outside looks brand new. How did it slide so far, so fast? Tell you what, I’m NEVER coming back to find out.

Probably the most vibrant place in a mall that is on it’s last leg of survival, Ross Dress For Less captures the essence of one of most depressing parts of Portland and perhaps the state’s less than stellar economy. While it’s true Ross sells its stuff«for less» the store itself seems old, drained, and uninspired. One might find that above statement puzzling but I’ve seen plenty of Ross stores that have some shopping blood pumping through it’s veins, this one has just seen better days. The men’s selection is limited, the shoe section is pathetic, and there are barely enough children’s toys to keep kids entertained. The staff seemed unmotivated and were working at a pace as slow as the rest of Jantzen Beach. I don’t enjoy ragging on stores like Ross, but if there is any spot worth breathing life into the mall it’s this one. It’s the only store with a prominent sign and it’s got the space to do some real damage. I am no hater, but hoping things pick up soon, or it’s only a matter of time before this store joins the rest of the empty lots in the mall.
