History

Established in 1946.

Our Parents started the business in 1946. We have been in the same location since 1951 when they moved from SE Portland to our present location. with hard work they created the business that my Brother and I run today.

I have been working at the Shop since High School, starting out sweeping the floor and cleaning up. now I am co-​owner and able to build an engine from 20 hp TO OVER 1500 hp.

also able to work on any type of wheel driven vehicle.

After I bought my 66 Mustang, I was on the lookout for a reputable mechanic with whom I could trust with my pony. Fortunately, I drive on Lombard to work and noticed the beautiful cars that always seemed to be in the garage.
This place is a true garage. There’s no nice waiting room or free popcorn and a television to watch, just honest mechanics who know what they’re doing and do it well. I’ve even felt compelled to send flowers.

These guys are the best, tops, Old School meets New School.
They have been in business forever, working on everything, anything and doing it with the kind of service you’d gladly hand your machine be it a sportscar, muscle car, restoration. Go by the garage and see what is up on the racks. Yes, this is the place to get it done!
Prices are reasonable considering what they do and how they do it.
Bill Schnell knows cars down to the smallest detail and works to get your car fixed as you’d like it, plus he hands you very good advise on path forward for your fix/​mod.
