As a vintage clothing enthusiast and semi snob, I adore this place. They are so helpful and sweet and have some of the cutest dresses around for any occasion as well as immaculately cared for separates. I stop in weekly and find it impossible to leave without a dress or two. The prices aren’t bad either! I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

The owner was as sweet and helpful as could be. The shop is adorable and carries a small section of brand new, vintage-​inspired dresses as well!

I love this shop. I almost never leave without something in-​hand. And being a size 12 – 14 dress size and 7 (definitely not narrow) shoe size, that’s definitely saying something for the owner’s ability to source amazing vintage goodies. I’ve gotten many dresses, necklaces and shoes from this shop and I’m constantly being complimented on them when I style them both traditionally and with a modern twist. Oh, and now they’re stocking all kinds of reproduction dresses, too, which is even cooler because there’s always a size that fits!

Honestly the best shop for vintage in Portland. All her items are interesting and well kept. Sarah always has a moment to help if you are looking for something special, but also an awesome place to just browse. I don’t think I can even walk into that store without buying at least 2 things. Her prices are so reasonable, I have a hard time trying to find vintage as good as she has for the prices she has them at. If you are in Portland, this is a must-​stop store!

I think Simply Vintage is a beautiful vintage shop here in Portland. I love how bright the store is. The racks are arranged well with out over crowding. The quality and quantity of older vintage is wonderful. It just makes you want to shop vintage which is not something I can say about all vintage shops in PDX. I’ve gotten at least two dresses from Sarah and both I am very happy with.

Sarah at Simply Vintage Boutique​is awesome. I went in earlier this week to find a dress for a wedding we’re headed to in Dallas at the Botanical Gardens. She listened to what I was thinking, helped me pull a number of pieces aside to try on and knew that some of them ran large and some ran small. I’d have picked everything out in the same size, I think most of us would. She gave me her honest feedback on each dress I tried on and we found two fabulous dresses. I couldn’t decide which was THE dress, they were both amazing on. So Sarah gave me a discount and I bought them both. It will work out perfectly because I have the wedding and a special dinner date date with my man. Now I have a dress for each occasion. I feel really pretty in one and sexy in the other… I feel extremely confident in both dresses and that says a lot about a dress.
Sarah has helped me in the past and offered the same great service as she did this week.
I will wear both pieces multiple times. Thanks so very much for all your help!

Everything in her shop is amazing! I need to frequent this lovely shop more often because it is one of the better vintage clothing/​dress shops in Portland.

And we get there it was pouring down rain and im in a leg cast and we get to the door and it was locked. The owner and her friend were ib there taking pictures dor her web site. She came to the door and told us there closed for a hour I told her I had called and no one told us they would be closed she was so rude left us both my 9 year old granddaughter and my self in the cast standind in the rain not caring no one told me on phone not to come. she cared more about her shop and website than letting two people in from the cold rain. not to mention she had no inventory really very very small choices from the outside window anyway.

Small but well-​curated collection of vintage and vintage-​reproduction clothing and accessories. There’s a great selection of hats and a pretty decent selection of gloves and hats, all at reasonable prices — I was able to score a gorgeous enameled bracelet, necklace and earring set for $ 25! The vintage clothing is interesting, lovely, and in great condition. The owner is quite lovely and very helpful. Despite its petite size, this is probably my favorite vintage shop in Portland.

I love this place! The clothes are absolutely beautiful. Everything has been chosen with care; the owner has amazing taste and truly cares about quality. I would say she has the best selection of vintage dresses in all of Portland. I literally have to stop myself from going in every weekend because there is always something I want to buy.
I will say that the prices are on the higher side but it is totally worth it. I have seen similar vintage items elsewhere in worse shape for more money. And what’s better than supporting a local business with a lovely owner?!

There are vintage shops and there are thrift shops. Simply Vintage is most certainly 100% a thoughtfully cultivated vintage boutique. The drop-​dead gorgeous dresses look like they were plucked from the original sales floor they are in such immaculate condition.
There is no shortage of eye-​candy to admire. Stunning little evening bags and shoes are artfully displayed throughout the store. Sparkling, diva-​worthy jewelry is sprinkled at the counter.
You’ll find that the owner, Sarah is a delight to chat with while you browse.
We didn’t see any men’s clothing except for one pair of swimming trunks. Frankly, the shop is rather cozy and I don’t see where there would be room to accommodate a men’s section in the store. It appeared to me that most items were from the 1960’s and earlier.
Although this boutique is rather out of my way to visit, this is such a lovely shop I can see myself making a special trip just to shop here.

Felt compelled to review this lovely shop, since I had a conversation with the owner regarding the importance of Unilocal these days.
I was actually steered here by a Portland friend who said she drives by it almost daily and admires the prettiness. Unlike some other places, the prettiness in the window doesn’t leave you disappointed once you see what’s on the racks. Basically: QUALITY, CLEAN, REASONABLY-​PRICED and ORGANIZED VINTAGE! Finding all of those together in one place is more or less impossible where I live, so it was a very refreshing stop. I got a navy blue 30s-​40s dress with an elegant neckline that just wows, so I’m very happy. I will be watching the etsy shop with eager eyes. Great stuff!

Awesome place if you’re looking to buy, or sell! Really great selection of quality vintage ladies clothing, especially dresses. The store also pays top dollar for good items — the best I’ve encountered in Portland or Seattle so far. The owner is very knowledgable and friendly and actually encourages shoppers to try items on (not always the case with vintage stores). I like the atmosphere; nicely decorated, very shopper friendly, and there’s no junk. Clothes are mostly 40’s — 50’s/60’s with some earlier stuff. I will definitely shop and sell here again!

How lovely to find a cute vintage shop right down the street! The owner (and her mother) were really helpful and weren’t at all pushy. And unlike other «vintage» experiences, this store is well organized and doesn’t smell like old clothes. I will definitely be back to peruse often!

I was so happy to discover this shop on a recent trip to Portland. The collection is carefully curated, Sarah knows everything about her inventory (you learn a lot while you’re shopping!), and simply put: it’s my new happy place! The garments and items aren’t overcrowded — it feels great to be able to leisurely stroll through and take it all in. And all of the items are in excellent condition! Buy something here and you can walk out the door wearing it! :-)

Simply put, the owner knows what she’s doing. The shop is full of truly vintage items, clearly labeled and lovingly displayed. Also, they buy top-​notch vintage (pre-​1970 only, I think) if you’re looking to sell. A nice addition to the neighborhood.

I love love LOVE this place. The shop owner is so accommodating, approachable, and kind. I appreciate her efforts to provide a wearable and affordable inventory in a large range of sizes. My friends and I stopped in here last week just because I live in the area and we were curious about what we would find. None of us were looking to buy anything, but two out of three of us walked out of the shop having made purchases, and the third is going back this week to pick up a dress that she can’t get out of her head.
If you appreciate vintage fashions, there may very well be something here for you! The glutton in me misses Pine State Biscuits, but the lover of fine fashion in me couldn’t be happier!

As a long time vintage collector, a new vintage shop has to be pretty fabulous to catch my attention. I made my first purchase at this just-​opened vintage boutique a few days ago, and I’m delighted. I found a fabulous 40s frock — just my style, in my size, and at a fair price — and saw a number of other pieces that made me drool. I can’t even talk about the beaded Lilli Ann suit on the wall.
The first thing that strikes you is the amount of light in the shop. You can actually see the garments, and know that you’re buying a piece in good condition. No surprises in this sunlight-​colored, sunlight-​flooded space.
The standard fare for vintage shops in Portland is dark, packed and a bit random. Sarah’s shop is a total departure from that — it is fresh, bright and beautifully curated. You will not have to push through overcrowded racks, or wonder where the separates are. It’s wonderfully shopable. On the note of separates, she actually carries them — you can get an outfit for the beach or daily wear, it isn’t all frilly special occasion frocks!
It really is a great shop for the vintage collector and wearer. Seems to range from the very late 30s to the very early 60s, with an emphasis on post-​war and 50s pieces. Such a breath of fresh air in the Portland vintage scene!

Simply Vintage blows a lot of the other Portland vintage shops out of the water. First off, it’s actually vintage! You won’t find 80s or 90s here, heck you won’t find the 70s here! It’s all classic, beautiful styles from a time gone by. It’s brightly lit (a HUGE plus) and warm and welcoming. Beautiful garments hang from cake batter colored walls, and it’s hard not feel like you’re in the center of a Funfetti cupcake since all of the garments are so brightly colored, they feel like the sprinkles inside. I do hope some of you got that analogy… Anyhoo…
Sarah is a delightful shop owner, and is very proud (in a good way!) of her shop and the garments she selects. She pays careful attention to each item to make sure it is of exceptional quality and style. She’s also an absolute pleasure to talk to! She knows her stuff and loves the periods in which her clothing comes from. She walks the walk and talks the talk.
This shop is for the hard-​core vintage lover or collector or the person who needs that special dress for that special occasion and wants to find it without looking through a whole lot of ugly, like at other «vintage» shops. And her prices reflect her relentless attention to detail and the care that she puts into her garments (cleaning, repairing as needed).
I greatly look forward to seeing what comes in to Sarah’s shop in the future and seeing what fills my closet from it!
