*Update: minus 1 star for the delivery charge of $ 8 min, $ 10 on average. I love their okra dish here. You have to request extra soft so that it’s not undercooked. Combine that with their chicken tiki masala and you’ve got a great meal! The service is really nice too.

We came here for lunch and it was buffet style. All the food is fresh and comes straight from the kitchen. Usually restaurants with buffets have the food out for hours. The food is excellent, especially the chicken tandoori. I also enjoyed the naan and the veggie curry. The waiters, owner, and chefs are always smiling and welcoming. Great experience, this would be my regular spot if I lived in Portland!

Delicious meal, attractive & clean space, fair prices. Oddly, I’ve had a hard time finding a decent Indian restaurant in This city. This place is great; service is quick and staff friendly.

Finding good Indian food in the metro-Portland area is very difficult. Surprisingly difficult. Basically, you need to go to Hillsboro. Thankfully Siri came along. Our meals from Siri have always been spot on. We’ve only had our food delivered(via one of the many delivery app services), but it has been just as good or better than Hillsboro’s elite. The palak paneer is probably the best in town. The samosas are excellent. I wasn’t too thrilled with the dal makhani, but then again, dal is dal, no? The naan is like an elephant ear naan, and delicious. Rice is ample. Not having to drive 30 – 40 minutes down US26 is also a huge, huge bonus, and earns Siri at least 5 extra stars.

I was surprised by the quality lunch buffet i had for 10dollars. I did not know it was buffet only until three, and i am very skeptical about lunch buffets. Siri had at least 6 main dishes to choose from, which included three chicken dishes, one fish dish, and two vegetarian dishes. There were pickled veggies, two different chutneys, nan, and two desserts. I will definitely visit again!

I’m writing this review on the toilet. I am in pain. I’ll spare you the gory details. Today is Monday. I ordered delivery on Saturday afternoon. It took a very long time for the food to show up, and my leasing office at my apartment had to call me and tell me I didn’t specify what my apartment number was on my order, which I did, and that the delivery person was in the office. Maybe the restaurant didn’t catch my apartment number, but I definitely included it. The delivery guy was really rude about«my» mistake, and the restaurant didn’t bother to call me or email me to ask for my apartment number. When he finally showed up at the door he snapped at my boyfriend, telling him«make sure she puts an apartment number next time!» So we dished up our cold food and tried to eat it. I didn’t get through a full plate because it was bland and something was just *off* about the meal. My boyfriend ordered lamb kofta and was surprised to find the lamb was instead beef. My aloo gobi was flavorless. I spent my entire Sunday glued to the bed, sweating, bloated, and uncomfortable. Today I woke up when I had to rush to the toilet, and I’ve been rushing back to the toilet all day to poop my freaking brains out. Never again. Update — the boyfriend got the runs too. Now we’re left to fight over this porcelain throne.

I’ve been unenthusiastic about much of the Indian food I’ve tried around Portland and while Siri is a clean, spacious spot along 23rd with(limited) outdoor seating, I choose Siri for the quality indian cuisine over ambiance, though it’s never packed which if you’re eating along 23rd is reason alone to try it. Siri’s ingredient quality and flavors are great. I tend to order on the spicier side as Siri’s spice level is geared towards the American palate. My favorite dishes have been the Chicken Kashmiri, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Korma, Fish Goa Curry, and Garlic Naan. I find Siri’s dine-out portions to be a bit more generous then the dine-in, which are better suited to ordering multiple dishes and sharing. .

Really, really good Indian food which is, surprisingly, hard to do! I have hopped around to several different Indian joints in town, almost always leaving thinking, «eh…». I am currently going back and forth between forcibly shoving last night’s leftovers in my face and writing this review. SOGOOD! Minus one star because the portions are fairly small(at least for takeout). Indian food is known for giving massive portions, so we ordered with the intention of sharing(3 dishes for 5 people) and only had a small amount of leftovers. I’m not sure if that’s because it was so damn good or there just wasn’t enough.

This time we dinned at the restaurant. We had paneer manchurian, Gobi manchurian, chilly chicken and chicken lollipop. Everything was terrible. The vegetarian appetizers had too much flour in it so it tasted like fried flour! We also had vada sambhar and the vada tasted meh! For the main course we ordered veggie biryani which was terrible. The mutton biryani was just mediocre. The only thing which was well made was the lamb goa curry. The Indian food fare was truly disappointing here. We expected a lot more. Service was good but they took a really long time to actually come and collect the check when the restaurant was practically empty. Truly disappointing. I dont think we ll be back here!

I ordered my food online via Eat24 and the person at the bar seemed surprised when I told her my name for the pickup. I was fully expecting my order to take forever as I assumed they missed my order, but it came right out about 3 minutes later. Crisis averted. Let’s get down to it: This is the best Indian food I’ve had in Portland and maybe the best I’ve had period. It’s definitely at least in the conversation. Their samosas are huge, perfectly fried and full of flavor and they come with both mint and tamarind chutney. The tikka masala was rich, the chicken tender and the portions large. The chicken 65 is more of the info-Chinese fusion sort, which is different than I’ve had in the past but it was very good as well. I’d say prices were fair, arguably slightly high, but I can’t wait to back so I guess they aren’t too high.

I went for the Sunday brunch buffet — which is an unbeatable $ 9.99. The Chicken Tikka, Tandoori Chicken, naans, and pekoras were all fantastic. Also, you *must* have heaping portions of the bone-in chicken curry. It’s incredibly tender and juicy. They have many a vegetarian option, so I would definitely recommend it if you’re abstaining from meat(I like to think all vegetarians will reconsider this life choice sooner or later). Overall I give it a 3-star, since they only had three meat options — which for a meat-lover like myself leaves something to be desired. For example, there was no lamb at all which was really bizarre in my opinion. Also, the spice level was suuuper mild.

My review varies depending on whether I’m taking out, eating in, or eating the lunch buffet — averaging out to a solid 4 stars. Takeout: 5 stars We ordered the butter chicken, vegetable korma, and garlic naan. So delicious. Each dish was fresh and incredibly flavorful. The estimated wait time was completely accurate, which is another huge plus. Nothing to complain about here, so I imagine I will be ordering and picking up from here often. Eating in: 4 stars I assume dishes off the regular menu are equally tasty when eating in, but the service takes away from the experience. Not very friendly or attentive. Lunch buffet: 3 stars Decent food, limited selection. Somehow just not quite as flavorful as when ordered fresh. Affordable opportunity to gorge if that’s your style.

Easy enough to be a stereotype Indian buffet fare. This place does a little more and succeeds(lamb biryani, fish curry, spicy French fries, etc.).

I came here for the lunch buffet on a weekday and had a great meal. The highlights of the buffet for me were the vegetable korma and chicken tikka masala. There was a nice variety of dishes and everything tasted good. It wasn’t too crowded, which was nice. Service was good, I would definitely come back.(The décor is a bit strange, I remember a piece of Indian art next to a picture of Audrey Hepburn.)

Don’t lie to me like I’m an idiot! Indian restaurants offering buffet, both here and in southern India, tend to fight you if you want to order off the menu. But I wanted the South Indian combo, and to try a new place, so I tried Siri. There was a light staff & no one around when I walked in. I hovered, then grabbed a menu myself and sat down. That wouldn’t have been an issue, but when the waiter came over, acting irritated already, and I said I’d like to order a dosa, he said, «Well that’ll take 25-minutes at least.» I said, «That’s ok,» and then, «I know what I want,» and he was already walking away. I had to raise my voice. So it’s gonna be 25-minutes, but I’m going to make you wait 5-minutes longer while I walk over this way to stack some glasses. This is an emergency. When he came back to the table we had a little bicker. Him: «Those girls over there ordered the same thing as you and they’re still waiting.» Me: «Ya and I’d have ordered right away but you walked away. And how did you know what I was going to order before you gave me a chance to tell you?» He made up some bullshit story about the grill not working well that day. Yadda, yadda. Lie, lie, lie. I ordered a glass of wine to occupy the wait and guess what? My South Indian platter came out in less than 10-minutes. It was pretty good. It’d have been a lot better with some coconut chutney, in addition to the sambar. Any true South Indian vata & idly combo would come with coconut chutney as well. OK food, but I don’t like being treated like a moronic idiot. I’m not a demanding customer. Also, the restaurant was mostly empty. I’d eat there again if hungry and in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way…

I should state up front this was a delivered meal and as always things are usually better when you eat at the establishment. We were tired after an afternoon at the hospital and my husband was craving Indian food. I had the Tikka Masala with chicken and it was ok. I actually prefer the version I make but that’s neither here nor there it was just a bit bland. Not a word you often use when describing Indian food. The naan bread was good if a little greasy and they forgot to bring the raita which I paid for so I should’ve checked the bags. Frustrating. The other dishes we got for the family were the chicken tandoori(very good!) and lamb karahi.(also good) The people on the phone and the man that delivered the food were very polite and I hope their restaurant does well. I will go back and visit because I’m a samosa lover and that’s where I really feel the magic is for me — still, glad we tried it, do make sure and adjust for spice, my Tikka dish was supposed to be medium and I would definitely describe it as mild. Maybe they were confused but I was pretty clear when I called. I would love to upgrade this to a 4 star, let’s see what happens when we dine in next time and you guys owe me some raita dammit! Love, Jenny

My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner here last night. We had the lollipop chicken first, which was so yummy and crispy. It really felt like an indulgence and I could’ve eaten 10 of them. However it only came with four. :-( For our entrees, I had the paneer tikka masala, and he had some chicken kebab dish, for which I can’t recall the name. His came out on a sizzling platter with onions and peppers and was really yummy. The chicken was so moist and well marinated and we both loved it. The paneer sauce was so flavorful and delicious that we were dipping everything in it! The naan bread was huge and almost look like a small pizza. It was delicious as well. Five stars all around for food, service and atmosphere. We are definitely coming back for more!

I have a confession to make. I am going to order dinner from Siri tonight, and I’m going to partially do so out of fear: I REALLY want this place to stay in business. At least that’s my justification for eating here twice as often as I should. The food is absolutely delightful. The staff are charming. Portions are generous. But every time I come in, the place is empty. I think of ordering takeout as an investment in the current as well as future happiness of my alimentary tract. We don’t eat meat — so I cant speak to a good 2⁄3 of the menu. But everything we’ve tried, from jalfrezi and biryani to paneer korma and tikka masala has been just spot on. The naan is particularly wonderful — so soft and piping hot — which seems hard to find at many places.
