Splash-n-Dash on MLK

I’ve been to a lot of self-​serve places over the years. This is top ranked among them. Very sudsy soap, warm water, great pressure from all of the spray options I used. Vacuum was good, maybe not great but still solid. Using a credit card was a great feature. I loved being able to extend the important parts of my wash without concern for running out of coins or the loud beeping warnings stressing me out. I’m definitely not a fan of the tokens for the vacuums but I can overlook that considering all the other perks. This will be my go to place so if a token lingers in the coin tray it’ll definitely get used.

Clean equipment, clear instructions. I brought my civic coupe after a 10,000 mile road trip. With $ 2 I vacuumed the whole thing including trunk. Then I did the entire suite of wash including waxing. It took me 14 minutes and charged $ 8.50 to my card. The car is cleaner than ever.

Is it’s name «Splash and Dash»? I didn’t know because the name is not clear or big enough. This car wash looks like any car wash, kind of dingy, espevially without that name. They have vacuums and car wash supplies and equipment but the washing sucks. You really have to pay attention to the timing and there are instructions and stuff to read that could maximize your use or time here. The credit card and change machines worked. No one short changed or anything like that. The vacuum worked good enough to suck the dirt from in between the door hinges on the trunk of my 2000 volkswagon beetle. Timing was good enough on the vacuum. It is espensive though and doesn’t really get the car that clean. Expect to pay way over 20 here just for the wash alone if you want your car any sort of clean. Compared to other self car washes it is good and the lighrs are on at 11:30 on Friday.

Love me a self car wash. It has everything you need. Close, convenient, clean, everything you expect of a normal self car wash. I’m surprised how few there are in the city.
