I called this place to deliver an arrangment to my mom due to the Unilocal reviews for this place. When I called, the person who helped me was friendly, energetic and helpful and had it sent out for delivery that same afternoon. My mom received them and loved the beautiful arrangement and was a wonderful birthday bouquet. Two days later, the flowers were very droopy and either was in the process of dying or already dead and my mom called sounding pretty sad about it. I called to let them know since we thought it was so odd and we then sent pictures. Well, the lady who was helping us was so extremely friendly, warm, and helpful, they promptly offered to resend another equally beautiful arrangement to my mom.
5 stars because the customer service was amazing and professional and 5 stars for beautiful arrangements! Will definitely be ordering flowers from here on out!

Starflower does beautiful work! I was absolutely blown away when I got my wedding bouquet. I brought sample photos of what I wanted and the flowers came out even better and more beautiful then ever! All the colors I wanted in the bouquet were there, and the bouquet was so pretty and fresh. I would highly recommend Starflower to anyone!

Called from California to send dear friends a little something for the birth of their son. Bettina was extremely helpful offering suggestions for items other than traditional bouquets. I decided to go with a succulent wreath that will be delivered today! I can’t wait to visit Starflower in person on my next trip to Portland. I will definitely use Starflower again.

Not your Grandma’s florist! This place has contemporary arrangements but I really shop here for gifts. So many great choices. Love their birch planters and hangers. The local jewelry selection here is also pretty great. This is one of those gift shops where I could find something for everyone here. Except Dad, it’s never easy to shop for Dad!

Not your average floral shop. They have cute gifts and knick knacks. My mom bought the cutest succulent potted in a vintage planter. Stop there for a bouquet of flowers and a small gift for that unique present. The owner is super knowledgeable and will create unique floral arrangements. They also do bridal and special occasion!

I went in here yesterday on a whim on my drive home from work and I’m really glad I did. During the Belmont Street Fair I stopped by and was instantly attracted to their adorable gifts, cute succulents and jewelry. It’s a small shop but what it lacks in size it makes up in with coziness and charm. The girl working there was extremely nice and friendly and helped me pick out an aloe plant and a hanging plant– both for $ 17. Not only was she nice she was really helpful, too and seemed to have a lot fo knowledge about potting, soil and the plants typical growth. Also, not only do they have air plants, succulents and plants to buy but they also have gorgeous milk glass containers and Etsy and Pinterest-​worthy pots. Their jewelry was also modestly priced– I saw a pair of awesome looking earrings for $ 22. I had no idea that the owner also does weddings and events but I wasn’t surprised because everything was so damn cute. If and when I get married I will definitely keep them in mind. I also love the fact that they’re sustainable. Big plus! Since I’m on a hardcore succulent and crafting binge I will most definitely be back here for some more plants and mighhttttttt have to pick up some jewelry, too.

If you read my last review (Mr. Formal), then you’ll know it’s Prom Time… or Winter Formal, as it is now called. My son kept informing me that «it’s no big deal». If you need to rent something to wear & the Young Lady has a special dress, then, in my book, IT’S A BIG DEAL. With very little notice, Jill created a beautiful boutonnière for my son & a spectacular hair fascinator for his date. These were made of the most delicate tiny white roses with some dramatic dark greenery (almost black!) and pale silvery-​green leaves ~ in other words, they were stunning! I wish someone had presented me with something this lovely when I was in school! Very affordable, just right for the occasion, and everyone was so happy with the results. Thank you Jill! I couldn’t have picked a better florist for my wedding. The flowers were beautiful, understated, affordable, and miraculously «vintage-​inspired» (an adjective I requested that I“m amazed she was able to pull off.) Bravo!

Today is my five year anniversary. I wanted to get a floral arrangement for my wife, who periodically complains that I don’t get her flowers often enough. So it had to be special. I googled sustainable florist portland and Starflower appeared. I called, was pleased with the local and seasonal options they had, and placed my order. A couple hours later, I got the most excited phone call from my wife. The flowers were hand delivered to her office downtown – she was blown away. She sent me a picture of the arrangement, and it is AMAZING. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Starflower. They have their act together and do a great job. I’ll definitely use them again.
