Love this place and the people that work there! I bought a package off of Groupon and then got hooked. They have good beds and are always super friendly/​helpful. I have been to plenty of tanning salons and they keep it simple and fun. Definitely recommend this to friends!

I’ve never had a tan turn out so perfectly bronze and natural. The materials they use must be of a much higher quality than most tanning salons in the area, because tanpdx is by far the best I’ve found!

I’ve never had a tanning membership in my life, this location had great prices for both memberships and packages! The employees have been extremely helpful. The atmosphere is great and it’s really close to Portland State campus, making it extremely convenient to go in between classes! I highly recommend this location to fulfill all your tanning needs.

I’ve been to plenty of tanning places in my life; this is the best so far! Super clean, the bulbs in the beds are replaced often, really good package prices, and the staff is awesome! It’s hard to find a tanning place with good people working it, but this place has. I’ll be a customer for a long time.

I found this place on groupon. A great deal, very clean, new beds, and a very friendly staff. I will definitely be continuing my membership and recommending this spot to other people.

I am definitely not a normal tanning bed kind of person — I’ve probably done it a sum total of 10 times in my entire life. However, I got it into my head that I wanted a decent base tan before going on vacation. I’m also severely leery of the chain places based on all the horror stories I have heard and read about. Also pushy salespeople like chain places make me either want to punch someone or starting screaming I SAID NO, NO NO.
Anyways, this place isn’t a chain, isn’t pushy and was supremely convienent both in hours and location. It’s clean, I didn’t have to wait and no one tried to upsell me on anything. I only did the lowest level beds but there’s fancier options if you are about that kind of thing. There’s also often a Groupon for a cheap month of unlimited tanning like I did.

If you’re a college student, this tanning place is for you. It’s so affordable and very close to PSU. TanPDX has groupons and promos quite often which I take full advantage of! I will continue to tan here for the rest of my college years.
Downfall: sometimes there are bums outside that make you feel uncomfortable

Tonight was my first time at TANPDX, starting to prepare for a vacation I’m taking in a few weeks. The gal working was super sweet and informative on the packages. The place was super clean and taken care of! Prices were great as well! I have been in a lot of different places in Portland and this one is definitely where I will stay! I absolutely recommend this place for short term or long term packages!

So I just bought a package here and I also tanned. Groupon has some good deals for this salon so be sure to check if out. The standard pricing for the beds and packages are about average. The beds were updated and the bulbs were new. The facility was very clean which is something you have to pay attention to when tanning. I also tried the Versa and it made me super dark!!! The Versa is way better than palm beach tan. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wasn’t totally blown away but I am really picky. They also didn’t have a huge verity of tanning lotion.
What I recommend getting a tanning package here and also walking down the street to Carman and Co and getting an airbrush package and you will be a bronze goddess. The beds at tanpdx are great and at Carman and Co the owner Brad does an amazing job at airbrushing. This is what I’m going to do for now on.
This place is also perfect for PSU students. It’s right on campus. But it seems hard for parking.

The beds here are great and the hours are really convenient. Also, the staff is always really friendly and the best part is that they never make you uncomfortable by pushing you to buy product or upgrade.

After relocating to Portland for work and realising there is a lack of sun, TanPDX is the place for me to get that sunny feeling back again! Courteous and friendly staff.

TANPDX is amazing. They have great prices and facilities. They also create a completely different experience than any other place I have been. They do not hound you into buying tanning products that you do not need and their contracts are not a mile long that will end up trapping you into unnecessary costs. I would not tan anywhere else!

CLEAN & CUSTOMER SERVICE. 2 selling points that made me come here and coming back here… I wish I could keep a tan all year around, but I can’t! The packages and prices are very affordable! I bought one! Easy location to get in and out of.

You know when you go into a Salon and they either (a) act like you are wasting their time by asking them to do their jobs or (b) try and talk you into buying $ 70 bottles of lotion and won’t leave you alone about it and ridicule you if you don’t buy it? Well… you don’t have to worry about that here! Thank goodness. It is so refreshing to go into a tanning salon and just be able to tan without being harassed. Yes, they have asked if I needed lotion. But when I replied with «no» they left me to be and let me tan! You can get in and get out in this place and I love, love, love that! You are not forced to buy a membership (although they do offer them) in order to tan here (I’m talking to you Tan Republic!) and after shopping around I have discovered these guys to have some of the most reasonable prices (again… talking to you Tan Republic).
I just use the basic beds and it honestly does the trick. They have high pressure beds, but I have yet to try them. Everything is very clean and the beds are all new. I see the girls up cleaning the beds right away and that certainly makes me feel good about how seriously they take their cleanliness. All in all… this is one of the best tanning salons I have experienced.

It is a little pricey, but they have decent discounted packages so if you get one of those it’s a lot cheaper to tan. Plus all of the equipment is pretty new & well maintained, so their prices make sense to me. I’ve been to other tanning salons in PDX with MUCH higher prices. This place falls in the middle.

Every tanning room also has a towel, baby wipes, & trash can.
Street parking but I’ve never had trouble finding a spot, and you only need to put a half hr to 45 mins in the meter.
