Personal Computer Consultant: lessons at all levels, from beginning beginners to advanced computer users – both Mac and PC; new computer setup including advice, purchase, setup of computer, network and all peripheral equipment, and transfer of files; maintenance and optimization of all computer equipment; especially good with seniors or other people who are not computer experts – my background is in education, so I am a teacher and guider, not a «techie»! Small business and nonprofit work – I own the company, and I will always be your computer consultant. No need to explain your needs to multiple «techs» with each call.

History

Established in 2009.

I have been fascinated by computers since the age of 16 – back in the punch card days! Over the years, I have mastered everything from DOS database programs to Windows 7 and the Mac. After years of helping people with their computers as a favor, I decided to make it my vocation. I began in 2009 with the writing of a set of software manuals for an online database purchased by my church. As part of that work, I helped our members and other churches to learn the new system. Soon, people were asking me to help with their other computer needs. I found I enjoyed the personal contact immensely. My business plan changed to become exclusively hands-​on consulting with individuals and small businesses in the greater Portland, Maine area.

Business Owner

Terri holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut, a Master of Arts degree in Developmental Psychology from the Ohio State University, and a Teaching Certification from the University of New England. She ran an Educational Consulting business for five years, an Avon beauty business for 15 years, and has been the IT and Communications Director at her church in Portland for the past several years.

Terri has raised three amazing children, two dogs and many cats, and lives with her husband, a university professor, in Portland. She is the proud grandmother of a darling toddler who lives too far away. His picture is decorating this site! Her interests include reading, camping, and singing.
