We went down to the new food cart pod at 50th and Division for barbecue, but Jazzy’s wasn’t fully up and running, so we went next door to the funky school bus from which enticing smells were coming. The garlic shrimp plate was amazing!!! This is a type of Mexican food we don’t often see in the states. Plates of seafood, spanish rice, fresh ceviche and house made chips. I felt like I was sitting on the Pacific coast in Mexico again. I needed only a michelada to make it complete. The coconut horchata was a pretty good substitute and a great deal at only a buck-fifty. I recommend asking for a taste of the pumpkin seed juice too, it won’t be everyone’s thing, but it is something you aren’t going to get many other places. I can’t wait to go back and get the king crab plate and talk with the owner some more. I didn’t catch his name this time, but he was super warm and helpful, I almost want to go again right now.
