While glass artists are thick in the Pacific Northwest and we have great places like Bullseye right here locally, I’d still never found ONE place that carried ALL the things a fuser or torchworker might want. While The Glass Source doesn’t have everything… they have a lot! I met Dixie, the owner of this and the sister store, The Bead Source, which is right next door. Great selection of dichro, both small and large pieces(up to quarter sheets). Fusibles from Bullseye and Urboros. Findings from Annaraku, frits, Glass Line liquid, decals, etc. Not a lot of each of these, but a little bit of everything. Certainly enough to allow you to try some things you hadn’t before, or get some inspiration. She is also a distributor of Art Clay Silver! Stained glass supplies are available as well. There are not any classes there at this time, but her studio time is $ 7/hr and you can fire in her kiln for $ 15/firing, and she said she was available for one on one teaching in any technique she is familiar with(cost depends).
