Nurturing, personalized treatment with plenty of hands-​on as well as therapeutic modalities including hot packs, electrical muscle stimulation, cold laser and ultrasound, depending on individual needs.

Individualized treatment plans may include chiropractic osseous manipulation or Activator, physiotherapy, therapeutic exercise, chiropractic rehabilitation, massage therapy. Naturopathic physicians on site are highly experienced in nutrition, homeopathy and allergy management.

History

Established in 2002.

The Healing Arts Clinic was established in 2002 when seasoned physicians Dr. Joyce McClure DC, DACRB, Dr. Barbara Jolley DC, ND and Dr. Samantha Brody, ND, LAc associated to realize a vision of integrated natural health care. The practice has blossomed, and now includes six doctors and four massage therapists. These include: Joyce McClure DC DACRB CES, Barbara Jolley DC ND, Joshua B Anderson DC, Rachael Pandzik DC, Andrew Kim ND LAc, Valerie Vogel DC, Jennifer Woljevach LMT, Leah Parsley LMT, Heather Green LMT and Rita Asaoka LMT. We continue to develop as a multidisciplinary alternative health care clinic and as an association of independent practitioners. Patients are able to meet a broad spectrum of health care needs in one location. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and service-​oriented. We welcome new patients!

Business Owner

Dr. Joyce McClure DC, DACRB graduated from the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) in 1982, and subsequently graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic — West in 1987. Within the year, she moved to Portland and has enjoyed the Pacific Northwest lifestyle ever since. In 2007 she completed a post-​graduate Diplomate in Chiropractic Rehabilitation. She additionally is certified as a Corrective Exercise Specialist; the fruits of these further studies are realized daily in her therapeutic approach to overuse and postural /​ergonomic strains, sports injuries, automobile accident injuries and on-​the-​job injuries as well as preventative health care.

Dr. McClure served ten years with the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners, both as Peer Review Committee Member and Chairperson, and as Board Member and Chairperson. She volunteered as Team Chiropractor for the Portland Shockwave professional women’s football team. In her spare time, she enjoys organic gardening and hobby farming.
