Zero «infant equipment», allowing children to move and develop without artificial aid or restriction.

* Thoughtfully chosen open-​ended materials, books, and wooden toys to encourage scaffolded learning.

* Organic, unprocessed freshly-​prepared vegetarian menu (whole grains, beans, cheese, fresh fruits and vegetables).

* Support for breastfeeding mothers, organic infant formula provided upon request.

* Cloth diapers provided through diaper service.

Convenient hours, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday-​Friday. 2, 3, and 5 day schedules available, with rates ranging from $ 560−1500/month.

Established in 2013.

Opening in September 2013, The Nest Playschool offers a nurturing and respectful environment designed expressly for infants and toddlers. We are dedicated to a relationship-​based approach, allowing for the time, space, and materials needed to foster each child’s natural development. We are respectful of every child as a competent, authentic person with individual needs and emotions.

Our daughter has been attending The Nest for nearly a year now. We couldn’t be happier with our experience here. The staff does a fantastic job of caring for the children, treating them with respect but also providing clear guidelines for acceptable behavior. The days are filled with fun activities that allow the kids to interact & explore their space freely (I get to witness this first hand thanks to all the photos the teachers post on our private FB parent page). The entire facility is designed with the kids in mind & I feel very good about leaving my daughter here. She loves the Nest. Just this morning when I was dropping her off, she immediately ran into the room & straight over to one of her teachers and gave her the most giant hug. She tells us about the adventures she and her friends have had at school each day. Her language & social skills have flourished since she started attending. We were so grateful to find The Nest and we believe it’s been the best possible environment for our daughter. Thanks so much to the dedicated staff!

We can not say enough good things about The Nest and the caregivers. They are the absolute BEST! Our daughter has been going to The Nest for 2 years. She goes Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays, but I honestly feel like she is missing out when I see all the fun they are having on the Tuesdays and Thursdays that she isn’t there (everyday they post stories and photos on a private Facebook group which is so fun to see). Our daughter loves going school. Sadly, she is moving up to the preschool, but we are thrilled that our 2nd daughter will have the opportunity to go to the Nest. She will start attending The Nest when she is 6 months and I can’t think of anyone else I’d rather have her in the care of :) I love their approach and philosophy — I am always asking them for advice. All the toys and supplies are as high quality as the care.

My daughter has attended the Nest for two years. She began full time at four months old and will soon be moving on to preschool. I cannot say enough good things about this place; my daughter is excited to go every morning and sad to leave when I pick her up in the afternoons. Her caregivers are always calm and clearly take such joy in their work. I wish my little could stay there forever, and any future children I have will certainly be attending. They’re vegetarian and use cloth diapers. They’re play-​based and not afraid of dirt! (They’re clean when it counts but the kids are encouraged to explore their environment).
