Their whisky selection is impressive, particularly for an east side pub. They have an ever expanding range of single malts and Irish whiskies. The fare is traditional and good. The ambiance is very authentic and the music is often quite good.(Most notably, they actually have Irish bands on their rotation.)The barkeeps are all attentive; Patrick is quick on his feet(literally and proverbially) and Shaun has an enthusiasm for whisky that most don’t. Definitely stopping by again.

The name recently changed to O’Neill’s, but that is the only change. I have been coming here since I moved to PDX in November. It’s been a nice 2nd home for me. I can sit at the bar and just chill. The bartenders are good at taking care of their customers and they are not weird elitists like some other places. Drinks are good, the prices are typical. Good food also! Better than regular bar fare. I enjoy their sandwiches, brunch, bloody Mary. So much. Love this place, hope it stays forever

Came here yesterday for our weekly after work drinks and food. I had a speckled hen and a red ale both very good even though I’m usually an IPA drinker. I always try to branch out and try new things. I also ordered the tarot skins because of a pic I saw here on Unilocal and let me tell you that picture didn’t do them justice. Probably the best Taylor skins I’ve had in a long time. Came with a big side of sour cream and big side of salsa. If your a vegetarian make sure to ask for no meat because they come with bacon. Great experience and grt environment.

This place is pretty nice. Not too loud earlier on a Saturday night. The bartenders are busy, but attentive to those sitting at the bar. The burger was good, the fries were really good. They have a good selection on tap and lots of local liquors too. Kind of a dive vibe, but chill and good pours and good bar food. I will be coming back, if for nothing else but to get to know the attractive bar tender.

This spot has some delicious items on the menu but certain menu items are very inconsistent. I stopped by for homemade chili one day and quickly remarked the BEST chili I had ever tasted! I drove from Vancouver the following week to have it again, and it went from the best to the most bland chili I ever tasted. I questioned the bartender about it and he said it was a different cook that day even though they have a recipe to follow. Note to owner, you get return customers when they get the same meal the next time they visit. I haven’t gone back.

Best Reuben! Nice bar tender! Love the atmosphere and that they sometimes have live music. It’s a true pub!

For one, this place has real Guiness on tap. The bartender knows how to pour it correctly. For two, this place smells like fish and chips and vinegar. I’ve been here once, didn’t eat anything but enjoyed a pint of Guiness, and my friends and I played a game of darts(my first time, and I won). They had some live music that wasn’t so loud that we had to shout over to talk. I want this to be my new hangout.

This place rocks. Great neighborhood bar. As someone who takes her Irish heritage pretty seriously, in my opinion Biddy’s is the real deal Irish pub. I highly encourage folks to make Biddy’s a regular in your rotation. Also FYI: like a real Irish neighborhood pub, it’s kid friendly in the early part of the night. I love taking my daughter there to see a 6pm show(check out Thin Rail sometime) and have pub dinner. All around great Irish pub. Five stars for sure, especially with the new management.

My stars here range between 3 and 5 depending on the time of day so I’m settling on a 4. I love going here before they get cranking up with music. When it’s not so crowded and we can play some darts in the back and have elbow room. I also appreciate and enjoy the warm Irish pub rockin good times that happen when bands are playing but it does get super crowded and sweaty so that’s just something to be in right patient mindset for. Nice bartenders and usually pretty easy to chat with friendly fellow patrons. It’s on a busy corner so you need to be careful coming and going but they are near bus lines and MAX so no need to drive if you’re not walking/biking distance. Nice tap selection and pretty standard Irish pub fare. I have not ventured upstairs to the gambling establishment — Texas hold ‘em? But I can hear folks walking around on the creeky old wood floors up there. The building and old wood bar furniture definitely has some history and layers of «if these walls could talk» vibe.

These guys are great! I spilled my beer, but they replenished it free of charge, because they’re great! Awesome gents!

What is strangest to me is why Biddy’s has not been discovered as a brunch destination! We treat the whole family, and the breakfast menu has something for everyone. The classic is the Benny, made with their own matchless corned beef. But all the selections are reliably good. The prices are amazing, below anything we know in town. And who doesn’t want to be wrapped round with the atmosphere of an Irish pub, served by the barkeep, or given the option of a Guinness with your breakfast! We want them to succeed, although it’s tempting to have them stay our«secret.»

I went there for a Geeks Who Drink trivia night. The bartender was very cool. Pints were reasonably priced($ 5 Smithwick’s), and the food was very tasty. I recommend the grilled corned beef sandwich. It was awesome. Good food, good drinks, good atmosphere. Might be different on the weekends, but midweek it was really chill.

Great bar, nice staff, and I enjoy the food a lot. My favorite thing is ambiance. There are no video lottery machines that draw the in the undesirables and no tvs blaring obnoxious garbage; that is exactly how I like it. They also have live music consistently, and tends to be very diverse.

First time visited to Biddy McGraws. I went to hear Green Tambourine perform and would definitely go back. I really like to atmosphere and the people, the staff and the patrons all seemed to be the kind of folks I’d like to spend more time with. I didn’t try the food so I can’t comment but they do have a full bar and a good selection on their menu.

Biddy McGraw’s is not only my favorite Irish Pub in all of Portland Metro, but my favorite bar period. Good pub food, good weekend brunch, great Irish dishes, awesome music, dancing & darts. The service is always ALWAYS friendly and professional. The drinks are great. Guiness always taste better at Biddys!

Currently at Biddy’s listening to Green Tamborine having a beer and Irish egg rolls, yum. Great place to listen to music, dance and eat pub food.

Went the for the first time tonight with my friend. It was pretty empty(not surprising for a Wednesday night). It took us a while to figure out they don’t have waiters, which is fine, it’s just good to know! I ordered the cottage pie and Guinness cake. My friend ordered the beef stew and a salad. So… This is where it gets bad-ish. The cottage pie is basically just the stew with potato stuff on top, which would be fine if the stew was any good. It was EXTREMELY salty and tasted like something out of a can. Luckily it was on the cheap side. My friend said her salad tasted like the fridge. The cake was pretty good(although it didn’t have frosting/icing). Anyway, based off this experience I won’t be ordering food in the future. The Portland Cider was quite good though, and being an empty weeknight we had the darts to ourselves, so we ended up having a pretty fun time! So: TL;DR — avoid the food. Just buy a beer and play darts.

This is an old Irish pub with original décor brought over by founder ‘Biddy’ herself. It is rough. There is no hoyty-toyty service. Family-owned, it is a little behind the times if you are looking for modern. There are at least two dart boards, and a videogame room the new owners are soon replacing with video poker. We(40s couple, native Oregonians) go here for the fish and chips as our common date night. It’s $ 10 and we always split it, 2pc fish n half basket fries, and I get the slaw. Depending on who is cooking, it is phenominal or just good enough. We look forward to the live music. They book in some extremely talented musicians and sometimes it’s more down home, but still good listening. There is an open dancing space in front of the band with tables and chairs nearby for a more intimate experience. Live Texas Hold Em upstairs daily. We have not done this activity. For service, they have had waitresses before on busy weekend nights. We moved out of the neighborhood and now only go on weekday nights. We usually sit at the bar if there is room. From what I have seen, the bartenders work their asses off. We always receive very good or, at the very least, adequate service. Don’t go for gourmet coffee… it is a glass pot on a burner, like a diner. They serve RC, which I like. Non Monsanto Pepsi or Coke establishments make me happy cuz I can get a cola and not support them. I tried the Guiness cupcakes for my bday this year. Two smaller, not too sweet cakes drizzled with chocolate sauce that didn’t taste like Hershey’s(it was good) and spray can whip cream(palate said spray can whip). A nice little upper scale pedestrian dessert $ 4. The bartender, also one of the new owners, sweetly treated me dessert. Thank you. Biddy’s has its own personality, be it pretty Irish girl or trashy Irish wench. I like that better than going to a chain of all-the-sames. P. S. I have been for brunch, was good, would go again, and I have never seen children in the bar… ever. If you go before 10, there is out-front picnic table seating for drink and food. After 10, no alcohol.

Biddy’s gets three stars for their stellar brunch. The Irish slant is as marked in the pricing(circa 1970s Ireland) as the food. $ 6 buys easily the most unique and in my opinion one of the best benedicts in Portland. Never a wait, this place is undiscovered and I hesitate to tell others about it. Three stars because I was a regular patron and they were never very friendly save one bartender. Also, the clientele does not make for an atmosphere I would wish to return to. I only went because I used to live around the corner.
