The Outer Rim specializes in amazing service, treating every customer with respect and concern for their safety, regardless of whether the bike they own, or are about to purchase, came from our store. We are a full-​service shop offering a large assortment of road, mountain, comfort, cruiser, BMX, Fixy, and children’s bikes. A few of the brands we carry are Fuji, Kestrel, SE, Breezer, Marin, Phat, Nirve, Fit, Hoffman, and Redline. We also have accessories and clothing to complement any bike. History

Established in 2009.

Our grand opening was May of 2009. By having our first live jazz concert as a new business we were a bit nervous as to whether the community would embrace such a thing… at a BIKE SHOP! Well, we were pleasantly surprised when nearly 200 people attended the concert, asking when our next one would be. It helped to have world-​class musicians such as Paul Mazzio (trumpet), Stan Bach (trombone), Lee Wuthenow (tenor), Chris Christopherson (piano), Duncan Branom (drums), Lee Gordon (piano), and Kevin Dietz (bass). It was truly an honor to be in their presence. Since then, we’ve been having concerts every month. Roots organic brewery (thanks Craig Nichols) provides the brew at our concerts, and we typically have a food vendor (KOI Fusion was our last vendor… great food guys). You can call to be placed on our email list to remind you of our next jazz concert. November and December are typically the only months we won’t have concerts due to the holiday-​season.

Business Owner

Nadine owned a bicycle business for 8 years in the late 70’s and 80’s and managed a bike business in the early 90’s. Her team at The Outer Rim consists of her husband, Charlie, who is a trauma helicopter pilot and works with her on his days off, her son, Brandon, who is the service manager, her son, Daniel (a professional multi-​sport athlete), who is in charge of the BMX department and Duncan Branom, who has over 25 years experience as a bicycle store (actually, 6 stores) owner, expert mechanic, and amazing professional jazz drummer! Thanks also, to our part-​time mechanics Seyi (Shay), and Marc, and various others who love to just hang out and help now and then.
